December, my favorite month of the year. The biting cold, the endless night. The petty guilt you feel around family during that cursed Christmas celebration. Dishes made with roots and rancid salt. Wolves. Screams. Completely engrossed in this realm of infamous darkness, I haven't done much work. However, I did finish a proposal for my upcoming graphic novel, "Torment," to present to potential publishers. And I made slow but steady progress on my Superman fanfiction. Here are a few images that I hope will entertain you.

And here are my gifts for the new year: new recommendations. How wonderful.

- The Russian artist Ivan Bilibin. He's a painter and illustrator who has created many truly magnificent images. I think they fit the season quite well; I recommend you Google his name—his work is absolutely fantastic. - Crepes. Does that ring a bell? It's a completely flat dish, on which you can put whatever you like. It's great, easy to make, and very comforting. If you haven't eaten any, it's time to remedy that.
