NARUTO COMES BACK FROM GETTING SOME MILK!  when he finds the note on the door. this . . . he takes it up. eyes narrowed and eyebrows scrunched as he reads it over several times until what it says finally sticks. “RL?OH - IT’S ROCK LEE! the weirdo... what’s this about youthful bonding?” he scratches his head because the wires are crossed and they are NOT connecting. “a hot springs. oh that sounds fun. i’d be down.” 

they’ve   stood   in   the   store      at  least  for  ten  minutes   &   yet,    all  of  the  shelves  seem  lined  with  similar,    inconsequential  items.    he  wasn’t  sure  exactly  why  naruto  thought  this  would  be  their  best  bet,    although  he  wasn’t  sure  enough  as  to  argue  otherwise.    ❝   what  should  we  buy  sakura - san  for  her …   birth  date ?   ❞    a  momentary  pause  follows  the  last  two  words,  dark  eyes  blinking  before  he  continues,    unchanging  tone  flowing  into  the  next  question.    ❝   what  is  the  significance  of  a  birth  date  anyway ?   ❞    /    @kisekisho​    ♡

“HMMMMM,” naruto hums, rubbing his chin as they perused perfume bottles of various shapes and sizes. the scents were a tad overwhelming. he couldn’t smell the jasmine from the cherry. but he was determined to walk away from the store with something in hand. or else the excursion would be a failure! he cuts his gaze to sai, the question catching him a bit off guard. but not because he was surprised sai asked such a thing ---- mostly, because naruto didn’t have a quick answer.
