OP: I've seen this on X and it turns out the design aesthetic of White Rabbit candy wrappers is genuinely fantastic.
Cnetizens: The older generations truly had such great design taste.
(This whole thread kicked off after international users on X marvelled at White Rabbit candy wrappers, and Chinese netizens found this and shared what art style and design aesthetics looked like back around the 1960s-1980s on xiaohongshu.ļ¼
Old designs posted by cnetizens(crččéåļ¼ęę°øęYINGSTARļ¼å游漫ę„ļ¼é£éfaye)
And old art styles during those days(cräøå£čč):
Chinese netizens also shared todayās White Rabbit candy, which features many different flavors and crossāovers with multiple IPs(crå č§ēļ¼éŖØę¶).
大ē½å 儶ē³(dabaitu naitang)/White Rabbit Creamy Candy is one of Chinaās most iconic nostalgic milk candies. The iconic redāblueāwhite wrapper of White Rabbit Creamy Candy was finalized in 1959. Its vintageāstyled wrappers are widely admired online, and the brand now rolls out new flavors and IP collaborations. éäøē“儶ē³(jinsihou naitang)/Golden Hair Monkey Creamy Candy is another beloved classic Chinese milk candy from the 1990s. Wowo Creamy Candy also officially launched in 1991 and blew up in popularity throughout the 1990s. Together with White Rabbit and Golden Monkey, it formed the big three iconic domestic milkācandy brands. Its signature wrapper bears a brightly colored rooster. The same brand also made Jiajia Creamy Candy, whose packaging featured a little monkey. Alongside White Rabbit, they carry warm childhood memories for generations of people in China.
That said, White Rabbit creamy candy remains a bigāseller to this day, while Golden Monkey and Wowo milk candy has faded into history. Many people find it a real shame, as its flavor was just as good as White Rabbitās. Lots of people also recall that earlyāedition White Rabbit candies were really soft. For some unknown reason, the recipe was changed later, making the candy much harder. You have to let it sit in your mouth for a while for it to soften up.

happy birthday orthoo! š
While watching a DVD from the library my TV popped up a message saying to press a button if I wanted to watch this from additional providers.
It's never done that before so I looked it up and turns out Roku TVs have added all sorts of creepy things in the privacy section since I last checked.
One of which being they take screenshots from what you're watching and send them to third parties to identify it.
Fucking hell! Remember when every fucking device in your life wasn't a spy implanted in your home and working against your interests to try and sell your data? Remember how nice that was??
Remember when the TV was just a tool that would play the things you plugged into it?
Why must the future suck SO much?
TVs collect a huge amount of data. Here's how to use privacy settings to limit the surveillance on TVs from LG, Samsung, TCL, and every othe
A good rundown on what each brand of TV is up to and which settings you should turn off.
PSA - Do not buy an LG smart TV. They just added a line to their terms of use that it's the user's responsibility to inform any guests in their house that by entering they consent to be recorded, in order to comply with wiretapping laws. That thing is literally recording you.
You can find tutorials online telling you how to open that thing up and physically remove the mic and wifi module. Frankly I don't trust anything less.
Please watch the Gamers Nexus video on LG Smart TV's and monitors! It's basically malware at this point.

Forgot to talk a bit about my overall thoughts on Seigaku VS Rikkaidai match OOPS... :P
All of the matches are pretty fun in my opinion, each match does feel more hype than the last one. Watching Momo and Kaidoh working together so well together, Inui bringing back his match with Yanagi from 4 years ago, Fuji finally going all out on Kirihara in the end, Ryoma copying everyone's moves and using it all on Sanada, etc..... Had a pretty enjoyable time seeing how both teams fight for the championship throughout this whole match (and wanting both teams to win is a struggle *sobs*)
Love the way they show Sanada's power and what a beast he is as an opponent. Not to mention, I also love the sound effects they used on Sanada's lighting quick smash.
Heard someone said that Sanada is an amazing vice-captain for letting other members to go see Yukimura before the surgery while he alone stays for the final match to fulfill his promise of winning the championship for Yukimura :') AND I'M FULLY AGREE WITH IT!!! I'm gonna give all the props to his mental strength for staying strong this whole time, having to carrying your team's hope while your best friend is going through surgery with low chance of recovery IS NOT EASY HOLY FUCK I HOPE HE GET ALL THE PRAISE AND CREDIT HE DESERVES!! (>m<)/
Yeahhh as you can tell, I'm pretty much enjoying this whole match and its emotional rollercoaster BUUUUUUUUUT
I have just heard that this match in the anime is kinda different from how it REALLY was from the manga. Apparently, they've cut off and changed a lot of stuff from the manga, making Rikkaidai not as strong as they ACTUALLY are, some of them including MomoKaidoh VS MaruiJackal's match point, Kirihara's Muga no KyÅchi (idk what that is yet) and most important of all, NIOH'S ILLUSION SWITCH AND YAGYUU'S LASER BEAM!!! LIKE WHY DID THEY REMOVE THEM FROM THE SHOW??? I was waiting for them to reveal the Illusion, only to find out that the anime staff decided not to put it in the show???
I was so surprised when I heard about this and kept wondering why did they make this decision, and my best guess for Nioh and Yagyuu (not sure abt the others tho) is that maybe back then the anime staff think the Illusion and Laser Beam might be too ridiculous/absurd and might threw off the fans back in 2000s (oh if only back then they know how far they'll have come with this show's ridiculousness......) but still I still think they've should have keep it in the anime back then (tho I'm saying this bcs I'm already know and used to this show's craziness lol)
I'm still OK with how the match goes in the show but MY GOD knowing about this does easily make you feel frustrated >:( like this match could have been even more epic.....
Good news is that there is an OVA(? i think) of this very match except it's more manga-accurate(!!) HECK YEAHHH I'm SO GLAD to hear that. This just mean I still have ways to go before getting to watch the REAL Seigaku VS Rikkaidai match but until then, we'll be moving on to season 6 in the next episode!
Have you been informed that the Octavinelle Trio canonically do not know what a dog is?
that is, alas, one of those things that exists in a state of contradiction -- in NMBC 1, Azul and Jade are bewildered by Zero because they don't know what dogs are supposed to look like, but in Eternity Float, there are dogs all over Ultramarine City (where they got their Human Training) and Jade is well acquainted with them. Twst is usually pretty good about consistency, but it still occasionally falls victim to the multiple-event-writers conundrum. :(
however, if I may offer a compromise:

It never fails to amuse me when I get āhello influencerā emails wanting me to push questionable products to my followers.
Like worstie, I can barely promote my own published book without wanting to curl up and die.
The fuck makes you think Iāll shill your discount wish shit?
Also, it's Tumblr. If I try to tell anyone about your knock-off Wish-quality sex toy thereās going to be a horde of Autistic lesbians doing a power point presentation in the notes about safe sex toy material and correct battery storage.
Which I am 100% down for, but it will not get you any sales.
I was trying to figure out if you were someone important on a other platform, because there's no way in hell anyone actually thinks you can be classified as "Influencer" if you have a big Tumblr blog.
And then also think advertising to this mob would be a good idea
There are actually lots of people who sell stuff successfully on here, usually drop ship stuff.
Theyāre just not disclosing it as ads, which they are supposed to do, and instead it's marketed in a very Tumblr-esque way which can be summed up as āomg guys look how CUTE this isā followed by a different account underneath going āomg found it!!ā and it links to a drop ship site with the item(s).
And the link usually has an affiliate tracker in it, which you may or may not be able to spot unless youāre familiar with them, which is also something you are legally supposed to disclose.
I used to get a lot of offers from around 2016-2020 to sell āmoon lampsā on here, yāknow those orb lights that look like a moon? Yeah. I was offered a higher kickback to make it look like I wasnt posting an add because these sellers know Tumblrites donāt like ads.
They wanted it to look as organic and hyped up as possible and then Iād just so happen to be like āomg you guys it's on saleā and post a link. Which is skeevy as shit and also illegal af in the US.
Itās like the insta/tiktok girlies saying ālink in bioā to get around saying āhereās a product I make money on if you buy itā because they want to sound like your friend because people are more likely to impulse buy stuff if a āfriendā is recommending something.
Theyāre also trusting that everyone knows ālink in bioā means āaffiliate linkā which is technically not enough of a disclosure but whatever.
This is why I tag all my own book promos with āaffiliate linksā because depending on which storefront you buy Hunger Pangs from, I may get a kickback from the vender which I do to help mediate the fees I lose from distribution. Itās not muchāliteral pennies in some casesābut Iām still legally required to state it.
Itās also why when I do post products I use or like, I make a point of letting people know Iām not an affiliate and not sponsored because despite the legal ramifications these people are flirting with by not disclosing their affiliate status, I want to be fully transparent with my followers when it comes to me trying to sell them things.
Yāall keep my lights on by reading my work and through my ko-fi and patreon. I am not about to risk that trust for the sake of some shitty vibrator sales from a sketch-ass drop shipper who wants me to pretend Iām not selling you things.
So, yeah. People do successfully sell stuff on here. A lot of us small indie creators sell our own work all the time.
But there are also drop-ship sellers on here who get enough of a kick-back from affiliate links to make selling cutesy kitsch stuff worth their time on here. Theyāre just making sure you donāt know youāre being marketed to.
Throwback to when I openly talked about this and got blocked by several huge āmemeā blogs that were actually drop shippers who didnāt like me lifting up the rock and exposing how they hide their ads in plain sight lol
I know this is obvious but HOORAYYYYY LET'S FREAKING GOOOOOOOOOOO!!! YIPEEEEE \(^O^)/
