As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, toxic positivity is real and honestly sometimes hurtful. Sometimes people feel things they have no control over and to just blanket statement then constantly only makes them less likely to truly be honest about how they're feeling and feel ashamed for not being able to "just get over it."
