Beacon Hills is mentioned to be in California numerous times and despite California being 41% Hispanic or Latino, 17% Asian, and 6.4% black, the cast is largely white or lightskin. The only darkskin or brownskin characters I have seen so far are Kali, Boyd, and Braeden (Kali and Braeden aren't even that brownskin). Boyd is apart of the trio of Isaac, him, and Erica and coincidentally, the white man of the group is the only living one, plus us barely getting to know Boyd asides from the fact his sister is dead w no real explanation. Kali is Indian and I might be overthinking it, but it's an odd detail to make her constantly bare foot while also being evil. Then, there's Braeden. She makes random appearances based on who's hiring her. I'm currently on season 4 and ik she's probably gonna appear far more often now, but I doubt she'll make frequent appearances and live throughout the entire show.

I've also noticed they make a shit ton of background characters have variation in race, but our main cast is basically white, whiter, and whitest. Ntm, the only characters who stay involved in the show like Morrell and Deaton are both lightskin. Not a single black female character asides from background characters have darkskin OR any other type of hair besides a straight wig or a silk press.

One of the mcs who's a fucking Japanese woman, and her background is HEAVILY based on her Japanese ancestry, is played by a Korean woman 🫩 great actor, but it just feels like a "here's your new minority character, damn!" moment. Ntm both Scott and Kira are very lightskin to the point people STILL think Scott is 100% white when his mother's maiden name is Delgado and Tyler Posey is Mexican. Love the show, but dear God is the lack of good POC representation actual ass for a state that is only 50% white.

Why TF would they kill off Allison like that 😭 then they kill Aiden like right after, her death just seemed like shitty writing once you see Aiden dies after legit IN THE SAME EXACT WAY. I get the reason was the actor didn't wanna be on the show anymore, but why didn't they just pull a Jackson instead of that, apparently they randomly revive her in the movie?? Why not revive everyone else too atp since we're just fucking around bro 😭😭

They could've easily just made her injured, put her in the hospital, and when all is done w, make Chris take her to France to train more since she nearly died or some bs like that, again, similar w what they did to Jackson. Maybe I just complain too much but this just feels like sloppy writing to me. Better having her take a Jackson route over just killing her off to bring her back in the damn movie.
