At @burgerandbeyond @streetfeastldn where I finally tried their legendary BBB (Bacon, Butter Burger) in the third attempt. There was so much cheese that I left with big cheesy grin. Shame that mine came without bacon, unlike this one my friend @truffleandtoast had. Mine was still a very good @burger so I'm excited to try one with bacon next time (at Street Feast Giant Robot)

Tiramisu ~ . My first visit to @pompisohouk was in the first week and it was pretty bad. Have to say they have improved a lot since the first week. Classic tiramisu was light, smooth and silly 😋 Pistachio tiramisu was pretty good too if you are a pistachio fan like @melche88 👍 (at Pompi Soho UK)

#tbt to the delicious bak kut teh 肉骨茶 that I ate in Klang, Malaysia few months ago. It's a popular dish in Malaysia and Singapore, consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices,  served with strips of fried dough (the ones on the right). One of my favourite Malaysian food of all time, a must-eat dish if you visit this food paradise country. Shame that the long cooking hours and herbs required means Malaysian restaurants in UK rarely do it. Does anyone know restaurants in London that do bak kut teh? (at 巴生来春烘肉骨茶 Lai Choon Bak Kut Teh)

When I used to live outside London, Old Tree was a restaurant that I visit regularly, for bubble tea, cakes, salt & pepper chicken and this Three-cup chicken. It's called Three-cup because of the recipe that includes a cup each of the three key ingredients: Sesame oil, Chinese rice wine, and soy sauce. I have never been to Taiwan so I can't judge whether it's authentic or not but the ones from Old Tree in Golders Green used to be one of the main reasons I came to London and I went all the way even though it's in zone 3. However, this three-cup chicken from Old Tree in Soho was truly awful. Chicken was clearly a lot less than it used to be (I used to have this dish from here almost every week) but the most importantly, the sauce was so bad, had really strange flavour and a lot more spicy than it used to be Once great restaurant has gone downhill and it's pretty clear I won't be coming back, at least for this dish, my once favourite. w/ @nudefoodslondon (at Old Tree Daiwan Bee)

"It's not all about the distance of the restaurant, it's about the people you eat with and the food you get served" Transport in London is convenient if it actually works. So glad I've started cycling on a day when public transport completely failed for me but it was never going to stop me from traveling 10 miles for a restaurant I was looking forward to all day. Yokoso is a restaurant with a Japanese and a Korean food menus which is great for people like me who love Japanese food more than anything else but surrounded by friends who are obsessed with Korean food. We ordered a mixture of both cuisines including @ladywhobrunches 's favourite pa jeon (seafood pancake) and jab chae (Korean stir fried glass noodles), sashimi, unagi don (eel on rice) and of course the signature rolls invented by the restaurant: Volcano, Yokoso special and Rainbow. The standout dish was the volcano roll, especially the tuna and spicy mayo 😍 I wanted to order more uramaki to dip the sauce 😍 Not the place to go if authenticity is what you are looking for, especially with the rolls but who cares about authenticity if the food brings a smile from you?
