First off: none of these are unpopular opinions.

Second: ik that we live in a capitalist society that loves to make everything suck, but when things "evolve" it typically is meant that they improve. So you either mean that you do want it to evolve to a point where it doesn't suck like it does now, or you wish that it had not evolved to this point in the first place. Saying that you don't want it to evolve any more when you hate the way things are now is counter productive to your own opinion.

I don't think it's outside of the realm of possibility that we will not always need an individual app and account for every little thing we do. I think the overall direction of these products is intended to make life easier, but they just haven't fully realized that goal yet. People might not want to hear this, but with AI on the rise we might eventually have AI assistants that can operate your phone and applications and manage all your accounts for you. And someday the robot answering systems for businesses will probably all be AI too and will hopefully eventually be able to actually help you without the need of a human working slave wages to get yelled at all day. There are also already stores in existence that can track the items you pick up and just bill them to you when they sense you walk out the door. No need for any check out at all whatsoever. No need for another minimum wage, no benefits human being who hates their life to *stand* around waiting to check your silly ass out (literally they're not even allowed to have chairs).
