At some point making Eirian as someone distorted in Helios mindset is one of my favourite things about their dynamic which i need to never shut up about.
So far I haven’t done much, but jeez when it gets so damn bad for Heli, it feels like he just seeks things in Eirian, without noticing it.
like in there, where Eirian is implied to replicate the feeling of helios gripping to his past, but not the one that completely ruined him, but the one that he remembers with warmth in his chest. If Eirian is on a loss for Heli, it’s lose of the said repeatable warmth again, that he’ve been craving for ages.
and oh dude ABSOLUTELY the WUTIWANT thing, where Helios couldn’t find the “sweet loving eirian” in the person that faced him, a minor difference in his tone, any attempt to distance, and he slowly loses the face he has.. well, that’s what Helios thinks himself
I just really like how complicated it is. As much as I want to give Helios a break i have an urge to pull out so many related illustrations with the same concept, where in the mind of his, Eirian can’t be fully “Eirian” to him.
