When my uncle finally divorced his abusive wife and became a bachelor again he was like 55 and already used to wearing dad attire. Anyway so that year at the big family camping trip my aunts were trying so hard to hook him up with their friends but he kept wearing this sweater with a kitten in s hammock that said “beach bum” on it. And every time they saw it they’d say “Wear a nicer sweatshirt Stan!” And he would just earnestly reply “This IS a very nice sweater!”

Anyway my aunts were full of shit that sweater kicked ass

I was told recently about a school that was shamed into changing its school motto. The motto was “I hear, I see, I learn.” Nothing wrong with that per se. Unfortunately the motto was in Latin, and the Latin for “I hear, I see, I learn” is “audio, video, disco”.

I’ve gushed about this, like, fifty times but the core idea of a king kidnapping a knight’s maiden, only for that maiden to usurp him and become an evil queen, causing the knight and the king to team up in order to save the day is such an ingenious premise and the fact that Galavant tells this story as a comedy-musical with catchy songs by Alan Menken, featuring Weird Al as a monk, is just icing on the cake.
