          Something was definitely wrong. This girl looked like Kimi, but the resemblance to the girl he knew ended there. Her posture, the sharpness of her eyes, and when she spoke–! Just what had happened to her? 

          “Huh… Just hang on a second, I can catch up to ‘em.” He lifted a hand to indicate that she should wait, before taking off in the direction of the fleeing girls. With a long stride and a fast pace, he managed to catch up to the one that held the distinctive red ribbon. As if her brush with the suddenly-bold Kimi wasn’t enough to deter the girl’s bullying, she was holding up the fabric and snickering to another student as she walked toward their classroom. 

          It didn’t take much to convince her to return it, really. A stern, irritable look on his face and an outstretched hand for “something that doesn’t belong to you” was enough. There were, at times, rare benefits to the way he looked. If bullies knew that Kimi was under his protection, they’d likely steer clear from then on. 

          Making a hasty return to the somehow-altered Kimi, he triumphantly held out the bow for her to accept. 

          “If anybody else ever bothers you like that, just let me know, okay? Might as well put this reputation I’ve got to good use.” Kasanoda chuckled, before his expression shifted back to concern.

          “You are okay, right? Maybe it’s just me, but somethin’ seems a little off.” 

━♡❣♡━ “Sure..” She muttered as she watched him take off.

Crap, this was a pain.. Kimi would be upset for a long time if this guy thought bad of her after this whole ordeal. She sighed, arms crossed as she waited for him to come back. He didn’t seem like someone who would distance or break ties with Kimi because of something like this, but she’d been wrong before.

She pulled herself from her thoughts when she saw Kasanoda’s familiar red hair come back into view.

Once he was back in front of her and presented the ribbon, she stared at it for a moment before looking up at him, a skeptical and thinking expression on her face. His words made her lips press into a thin line momentarily before she finally spoke. 

Seven finds himself feeling extremely guilty. Honestly, it’s best if he goes. The mood has been ruined by him in such a way he’s not sure there’s room for recovery for it. “I think I should go.” A soft sigh escapes him. “I just.. Need to clear my head.” He’s already moving to stand. “Can I come back tomorrow?” An attempt to show her that he isn’t upset with her. “If that’s okay with you.”

And he looks forward to showing them to her. He smiles, not questioning her clear nervousness as he assumes it would only make it worse. All he can do is reassure her by not appearing bothered by it. Which the only reason he isn’t is because of her discomfort, of course. “I’m sure it will go great.”

━♡❣♡━ The delivered flowers surprise her. Kimi gaze down at them, nestled in her small hands. The soft yellows of the roses and alstroemeria make her smile, her heart feeling warm and happy. But then the red azalea catches her eye, causing a small tilt of her head before her smile grew larger, thoughts trailing to someone.

A soft hum began as she went to find a vase to keep these heartwarming flowers in; reminding herself to get some of those flower food packets later to help keep them happy and healthy looking for as long as possible.

There’s a shake of his head. “Don’t be sorry.” Gaze shifts, falling upon her. “You’re just.. Trying to be supportive and I’m.. I just don’t want to talk about it.” It’s too hard. Maybe he’ll be ready to talk about it eventually, but just.. Not right now. “I.. Appreciate what you were trying to do, okay?”

━♡❣♡━ The small woman jumped slightly but also tried to hide a soft giggle behind her hand as Kasanoda snapped out of his daze. She had noticed him start to nod off by the second head droop and by the third she hadn’t wanted him to get a pain in his neck from dozing like that.

She offered a small smile to show she wasn’t upset from his nodding off while they were in the library. “I-It’s okay. I’m sorry you couldn’t get m-much sleep.” She sympathized. She’d shook her head no when he asked if he’d missed anything. “N-No. I took a small b-break when I noticed you were getting sleepy..” 

“If you’re tired, we can leave the library.. I-I don’t think the chairs would be too comfy to sleep i-in..” She offered. “Relaxing by the t-trees is always nice..”
