TV Production Blog

With much hard work and tireless effort our live TV production; Brunch Bunch; was a success. Working as part of a large production team had both positives and negatives. For example, some team members were not always pulling their weight and others overstepped their roles. Occasionally, we had so many ideas that it was impossible to fit into our 5 minute allotment of time. Nevertheless, despite all this, we created a fulfilling five minute magazine show, just as we set out to do.

Starting off this project, I feel, was the easiest part to the process as our team’s main idea was determined pretty quickly, thus, creating enthusiasm between us, which was amplified by our ability to pick, choose and compromise all our roles. As a whole, our class, led by Clive, did a lot of the research into magazine shows before officially, being handed our task which made the whole process a lot easier to start. This was due to a share in understanding the expected features of this style of show. Former any team meetings about our own projects, Ed gave us many useful tasks; such as our ‘5 minute children’s story’ task; which allowed us to work with different people in our class, challenge ourselves with various roles and also, gave us an insight to how we should create our own projects. For myself, this was very beneficial. I was placed as a producer for our first task which was out of my comfort zone. However, despite my discomfort, I learned a lot about the live TV multi-camera environment and how each position contributes to a successful project. This made me much more confident and willing to get involved with all parts of the production.

We visited two of the most  popular independent cafe’s to see  why people should choose to spend  their time there rather than the  big brand high street chains

PRESENTER 1  Lets see how Betsy got on when she  visited the popular Cafe ’Foxes’.
