and the way everyone just diminishes him in some way, or are suspicious of him despite the fact that he is also poked fun at for being a "thief that doesn't steal anything", or how he only ever goes out at night etc ETC . heavily outcasted from everyone, i also feel like it makes it really clear he's on the younger side, like i'm guessing around 17 years old pre-timeskip, especially with the fact some of them talk about how they haven't seen him in so long and how much he has "grown up" as well....

i don't doubt a lot of them treating him like he's a dumb kid but also someone to be wary of also being very obviously from the fact he is disabled, along with him reading as a very depressed autistic person too

and the comment about his "surprisingly manlyness" i also wonder him being outcasted could also be because he doesn't seem to really fit the typical mold of what is seen as "manly" in tazmily, that + the line about his whiskers when checking in a mirror could be some stuff coming in much later for him compared to the others, i personally interpret some of this as intersexism. transfem intersex duster is real trust trust
