what's in your pants uh I mean sorry what's on your birth certificate
what's in your pants wait sorry that was weird of me. what did the doctor decide was in your pants when you were born?
It's really quite bizarre how much work in trans healthcare bases itself on the idea that a patient who deliberately seeks out the Penis Removal Doctor and says "Yes, Penis Removal Doctor, I am certain that I would like to have my penis removed" might be lying to the Penis Removal Doctor, so that they can have their penis removed without actually wanting that.
Movie idea: CEO discovers that he's actually an incompetent buffoon and has no useful skills. It's done like a Truman Show-style thing where he slowly realizes from oddities in how people around him behave.
He gains the ability to think critically like this after an accident of some kind

The existence of marginalized men does not disprove the existence of patriarchy
"Oh, you're a feminist? :P Well have you thought of---"
Yes. More than you have.
You fucking idiot.
Can we talk about how fandoms turn darkly pathological characters into uwu babygirls? For example Minnie Mouse
sometimes a character is a trans woman but the writers didn't know that so they misgender her and deadname her the entire story. very sad, many such cases
I caught up on the manga I was reading, so I moved onto this absolutely wild webnovel that I heard about on Tumblr. It's about two closeted trans women who have been best friends since they were kids but aren't out to each other (or anyone). One of them learns about a competition with a $1M prize where cis men ONLY compete to see who can grow the largest breasts via hrt provided by the competition. She signs up for the free HRT but eventually has to come clean to her best friend/roommate when it becomes too hard to hide and she signs up for the competition to protect her friend from this nonsense. But there's also a bounty in the competition for participants to expose trans femmes among them because then that disqualifies the competitor.
I'm now caught up and it's very "come for the satire, stay for the exquisite character drama".
A trans girl hatches a brilliant scheme: Infiltrate a community of cis men who compete to see who can grow the biggest breasts by taking hor

Qajar-era Iranian decorative tile (19th century) featuring a portrait of Karl Marx.
wore a white dress and walked in the rain to the barracks so all the knights could see my skin peeking through the fabric and i said āoh my, excuse me ladies, it seems i got myself lost in the downpour⦠iām all alone and no one even knows iām hereā¦ā and they just gave me warm clothes and made me soup so i didnāt catch a cold and escorted me back to my room. i fucking hate chivalry
just watched the knight that escorted me pick up a maid and twirl her around and carry her back toward the barracks while she giggled and blushed and kicked her legs. fuck my extravagant princess life
I can finally post the comic I did for @chilshi-zine which you can still download for free and see everyone elseās art & writing! I had a lot of fun working on this and Iām excited to finally share it

are more fictional characters canonically left-handed or canonically right-handed? (only counting characters that have a canonical handedness)
left-handed
right-handed
[show results]
in written fiction alone it's probably left handed because few writers would explicitly point out that a character is right handed. but in film and tv you can often see which hand a character writes with so if that counts as canonical then i think there are probably more right handed characters simply because there are more right handed actors
a character being shown using their right hand to do something does not on its own make them right handed. left handed people can use their right hand for things and often are culturally expected to
is this a metaphor for bisexuality or something or are you just curious about handedness
cause knowing you it could be either one
I have a theory that canonically cisgender characters are actually really really uncommon
this feels like an intentional and obtuse refusal to engage with text and canon as they are actually used. this set of definitions only works as a pedantic watsonian quibble. "you can't prove they're cisgender." that's not how norms work at all, and you know it.
you're making some incorrect assumptions based on things I did not say. my suggestion here is that it is, literally, in the normal sense of the words, rarer for a character to be canonically cisgender than you might expect. for almost all characters it's completely unspecified if they're cis or trans, and for characters where it is specified it's, I believe, not very common to outright confirm in the text that a character is cis
again, that's not how text, canon, or norms work. by that same logic, you could argue that many characters have the superhuman ability to never need to eat or drink unless they want to, or that no women in a given text menstruate. it's an absurd standard for "canon" to only include what's explicitly stated. how many characters in books have you read where it's explicitly established that they were wearing socks? or that glaucomas exists in the world of fhe text? implication is part of canon, snd cultural content and the associated norms inform the text. the sleight of hand here is in shifting the focus on what's assumed and what's not. the way people write fandom wikis is not indicative of what "canon" means culturally.
sorry, to be clear, are you suggesting that a character being cis is something that can be safely assumed unless otherwise specified to the extent that a lack of confirmation whether or not a character is trans counts as a character being "canonically cis"?
