Aesthetic wise, everything about Shinguuji screams Visual Kei, from his outfit and facial structure, down to his sprite poses.

Looking more specifically to the 90′s, as that’s the time period in which Hide’s single Dice was released. Shinguuji’s general appearance is heavily inspired by a character from the PV for it, leaving him a bit more subdued but still as flamboyant as the more modern takes on the fashion aspect.

Shinguuji’s face and hair have a level of androgyny to them that leave other’s second guessing his gender, and while that plays heavily into the story, it’s also a common trait amongst this style choice.

                           he speaks in a sing - song tone as he approaches his classmate.  korekiyo fascinates him more than anyone else in their class,  for reasons he thought obvious.  mysterious.  odd.  intelligent.

                            “ i’m curious.  what’s your favorite cryptid? ”

   Ouma was, in most senses of the word- Unique, in the way he spoke and acted. As someone that kept his own secrets, Shinguuji had a hunch the other was doing the same- Though, he supposed, who wasn’t doing just that in this setting?

   Talking about his talent was always something he was eager to do, and so turning the smaller man away wasn’t a priority at the moment.
