ultimate pet peeve is when other non-Americans are better informed on US politics and give it more gravity than the politics of their own country... i know people who didn't say a word about our presidential election last year and two weeks later were gushing over Mamdani like.... I understand the significance of US politics but I think you should give local politics at the very least equal consideration
