Today is my 2nd Australia Day—to mark the occasion I've designed a few flag motifs. It's important to me, and is my way to recognise the ancestry of this land, especially the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi; the 'no no people' of the Sunshine Coast where I live. Australia's history is undeniably black, and I hope that soon we can all appreciate and learn from cultures rich in wisdom and strength, after all there is no humiliation for someone who is proud of their history. The future is only good to us if we learn from the past, and the past will only be good to us if we learn to reconcile. I love this country, it's such a privilege to live here.
