vil is canonically a gender-non conforming character who dislikes gender roles and mannerisms being pushed onto people (also shown by the conversations he has with epel in book 5 where he tries to help him overcome a mindset of toxic masculinity) ::

a huge part of vil's character basically sends the message that beauty has and needs no gender or standards, when you hc him as transfem you're basically conforming him to the exact stereotypical standard he dislikes and is supposed to prove wrong (the entire POINT of being gnc is to break gender norms and normalize things as simple as men wearing make up, heels, women wearing ties, etc.). immediately headcanoning feminine men and masculine women in media as transgender is already a problem and we should instead just normalize them??
