     {  ❄  }  ━   “ HEY - don’t tell your mom , but - ” glances around to make sure no one’s watching before he quickly pulls out a large candy cane from his pocket. “ eatin’ candy before dinner won’t spoil it . it’s all a LIE , ” sam gives a grin, holding the cane out to nolan. “ if i end up on the naughty list for givin’ you this , i’m tellin’ noelle you ASKED FOR IT , dig me ? ”

          INITIALLY, there is some hesitance in his gaze as he regards the YOUNG stranger. It’s a STUBBORN refusal to allow his job to leave him DISTRUSTFUL of children that has him accepting the cookie with a genuine smile. ❛❛ It certainly looks delicious — you offer cookies to strangers often?? ❜❜ 

       Noelle couldn’t help but laugh, eyes bright as she watched her son–– her son!–– speed around the kitchen. Sure, she’d been a mom for a good few years now, but she still found herself being bowled over by how happy he made her. “Slow your roll there, tiger,” she said, smiling, “it’ll be ready soon! But you gotta stay in one place when I take it out of the oven because I do not want to take a trip to the emergency room tonight.” She reached a hand out to ruffle his hair. “I completely understand that you are full of energy and I celebrate that, but I don’t want you getting hurt. Especially not so close to Christmas!”

❝ hey - don’t worry about it too much yet , you’re still a kid , right ? ❞ nick knows the pressures of being the son of santa, but as he placed a hand on nolan’s shoulder, he gave the boy a soothing smile.  ❝ you’ve got a lot’a support and a lot’ve time to prepare , so relax , okay ? ❞

           “   e-excuse me . . .   ”   the north pole boy said,   clearing his throat as he scratch the back of his head.   “   do you know where i can buy   reindeer   food around here   ?   ”

          “   mom,   come on . . .   it’s not that   hard   !   you got this   !   ”   nolan encouraged his mother as he recorded her.   surely he should have helped her out,   but   she’s santa . . .   she can figure out how to play the drums.

          “   momma . . .   is that what was   supposed   to happen   ?   ”   nolan asked,   a face of astonishment   &   concerned filled him as he looked down at the very   CRISPY   gingerbread people that they had just taken out of the oven.

          “   for the   LOVE   of tinsel do not tell my mom about this . . .   ”   nolan said quickly while he pushed the sled out of the barn.    definitely   not supposed to be touching the sled,   nor   showing it off like he was about to,   BUT   here he was . . .   doing just that.

          “   uh,   you want a   cookie   ?   ”   the boy asked,   a hand extended outwards with a freshly warm chocolate chip cookie in his hand.   he waved it about in front of the strangers face as he wiggled his eyebrows.   “   it’s   DELICIOUS !   ”

          “   yeah,    there’s    NO WAY   you’re going to be able to chug a keg of    eggnog   that face . . .   ”    the boy said with furrowed brows,   his arms crossed over his chest while he tilted his head towards the other and gave him an interesting stare.
