In Science, Kindergardeners used tableaux and script writing to better understand the differences between the four magnification devices: binoculars, magnifying glass, microscope and telescope.

In Social Studies, Kindergardeners learned how the human body changes over time. Above you will see group tableaux of the 5 stages of human life: Baby, Child, Teenager, Adult and Elderly Person.

In Ms. Jennifer’s Kindergarden Art class we had students create strong emotional tableaux one at a time while the rest of the class sketched them in as detailed a way as they could.

In Social Studies, Kindergardeners also learned about different jobs through costume and tableaux.

Back in January, Kindergartners at ISL Olivier St. learned about nutrition by creating tableaux of a balanced plate and scripts between healthy and non-healthy foods.

When Ms. Jamie’s 2nd grade ELA classes began reading Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl, students used the character traits in the text and our knowledge of how body centers help actors create characters to find the physical bodies of Boggis, Bunce, Bean and Mr. Fox.

Kindergardeners at ISL used group tableaux to demonstrate their geographical knowledge of places within the first floor of our school.
