after a certain point in life, healing becomes ur responsibility. the things u were deprived of, the love u didn’t receive, the safety u didn’t feel, those weren’t ur fault. but holding onto that pain forever n letting it turn into anger, emotional distance, or silence stops being understandable n starts becoming an excuse. life hurts everyone in different ways, some more than others, but staying stuck in what was done to u won’t save u. the trauma u went through can never be justified, but it is on u to unlearn what damaged u, grow past it, n build a mind that finally feels safe
