With only two days left before we close Contributor Applications for the upcoming Kidge Zine on July 31st, anyone who wants to participate needs to have turned in their application before this Sunday, so hurry up and follow this link

Hi everyone, since today is the Winter Solstice, what better time than to announce this?

The Kidgemas Team (there's like 10 of us now, thank you so much to all of you for helping out) have created a poll so everyone can vote for their favorite prompts for this year's Kidgemas. This time the event will last a full seven-day week, from December 25th to December 31st.

The poll will remain open until the end of November, and then we'll post the results on December 1st.

It’s now August, which means I can reveal the results of the the poll for this year! So here it is, the official prompt list for Kidgetober 2021!

An Explanation

Each day features a flower which has been chosen for its meaning. Listed here are a few of those meanings, but feel free to go out and search for others if you’d like. The resource page would be an excellent place to start!

Roses and carnations were chosen as the free day option because their meanings are entirely dependent on their color. For example: a red rose or carnation represents love, while white represents innocence. They also don’t always have matching meanings, because while a yellow rose means friendship and joy, a yellow carnation stands for rejection and disappointment.

Why Cosmos’ and Daisies?

Cosmos’ are one of the birth month flowers of October! They represent order and harmony.

Daisies are one of the birth month flowers of April! They stand for innocence and loyal love.
