Heyy I'm Kiara. The group blog over on @willows-pjo-ocs is cool and all, but I decided to make my own.
So here's some basic info i guess
Age: 15
Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality: bisexual
Godly parent: Selene
Powers: healing (only at night), photokinesis (limited to moonlight and not that much, Aurelia says I'm like a glowstick), increased strength at night time particularly when the moon isn't obscured by the clouds (which does not change when the moon is new since its still the moon), I can transfer the pain you feel to myself, limited hydrokinesis since the moon controls the tides, and I sees better in the dark. Limited umbrakinesis plus I can shadow travel. Not really a power, but I am pretty good at chariot driving since my mom is Selene, if I do say so myself.
Status: taken i love my wife girlfriend @southerndaughterofeos
(this post is from over a year ago as of this edit i just don't feel like making another intro post)

TW/CW FOR TRANSPHOBIA, MENTIONS OF DEATH, AND SELF BLAME IN HER BACKSTORY also SH so im making it extra big so you dont miss it i dont wanna risk anything
Kiara is a 15 year old transgender demigod daughter of Selene. She arrived at camp a bit before the Battle of the Labyrinth (the battle itself, not the book, but both are technically true), so she did end up fighting in the Battle of the Labyrinth, the Battle of Manhattan, and the Battle of Half-Blood Hill (plus if there was another one in toa i havent read it yet so dont spoil me.)
I would say she was about 12 or 13 when she arrived at camp so she's been there for a bit
She wasn't claimed until 2 or 3 years after she arrived since her mom didn't have a cabin yet
She is currently dating Aurelia Emerson, another oc of mine.
No father issues here since her dad is pretty awesome, but she does have mother issues, which comes with your godly parent being your mother.
She has a good deal of trauma from these battles, as do the other demigods who fought in said battles.
Since she can only heal at night, she compensates with her fighting skills. She was unable to save lots of friends and fellow campers during the battles and she blames herself for their deaths constantly. The tragedy of being a combat medic at her age.
Kids used to tease her all the time and do stuff like pulling on her hair at school but she ended up finding her people
At some point (sometimes i rp before, during, or after this) she ended up going on a quest. I haven't planned out much of this quest or who she gets captured by, but she ends up getting captured by these monster or something who want a son of Selene even though she very much isn't a son, but a daughter. They only ever referred to her as a boy and made her wear raggedy ass "boy" clothes (even though i believe that clothes dont have gender idk how else to phrase it)
She ends up back at camp somehow, havent planned that part out yet, but yet another trauma she has to deal with (yay i guess..?)
She ends up picking up smoking to deal with the trauma. She doesn't really tell anyone, and she tries to hide it since she's underage, it's against the rules, and sincs Aurelia would kill her if word got out.
Every time she heals a patient, whether it's a broken wrist or the entire arm is ripped off, she transfers a great deal of the pain to herself so they don't have to deal with it. Better her than them, she tells herself.
Eventually, she grows pretty numb to the pain. She can still feel it, of course, but she's just used to it. It doesn't bother her as much as it used to. Occasionally, when she takes a smoke break, she'll put out the cigarette on the heel of her palm or her shoulder or something just to prove that she can still feel pain.
Also, I apologize if I accidentally portray her a bit wrong since I'm not trans but feel free to critique me if I do something wrong bc I really want to know so I can do better/be more educated

"Sophia, what's happening? An anon told me you're being bullied. I think, anyway."
- @the-lord-enchanter
"You don't even know your times tables! Who are you to talk?" Some other camper yelled, presumably the Ares kid the anons were talking about. They looked to be a good few years older than Sophia, and a discarded bow sat a few feet away from them.
Sophia lay on the ground in front of them, her lip split and her eye swollen. "Like you do?" She coughed, earning another kick to the ribs. The kid pulled her up by her collar and she struggled against their grips.
"What're you gonna do if I take these pretty necklaces you got? Or this really old looking one?"
"Hi, Edan!" She croaked. The protection crystal protected her from the first few blows, but the Ares cabin could be ruthless. It was their own fault for challenging a Hunter of Artemis.
Edan grabbed the Ares child's upper arms, sending an excruciating heat through them.
"Hm. Lots of anger in this one. What'd you do, Sophia?" He teases gently, not taking his hands off the child. Almost as if it was habit to torture offenders of his master until he was told otherwise.
She spit out some blood from accidentally biting her tongue and slowly stood up with a wince. The Ares kid writhed in his grip, screaming in pain. Sophia tried to pry his hands off the kid, despite how much her rips hurt. "I just beat 'em in an archery competition! What the hell are you doing?"
She shrunk under the gazes of all the other nearby campers. She must have looked terrible, and it was all quite the spectacle. The Ares kid ran off to their cabin, yelling curses at the both of them. Sophia didn't bother to pay attention to the words. She held onto his arm for support. "Can I go to the infirmary?" She asked weakly as she brushed some dirt off her cheek.
"Mm, which one?" There was one in camp, or so he'd heard. But he didn't know where that was. Or, he could bring her to Commodus' palace, where there was an infirmary. He was half-tempted to pick her up, but he didn't. Reputations, and anxiety, or something.
"The one up the hill, before Kiara rips me a new one. Please." Maybe she should have been more polite to that Ares kid. It wasn't her fault they were so arrogant and thought they could beat a hunter. They were known for beating the rest of camp in just about everything during the rare times they visited. This wasn't exactly the first time she got her ass beat, but it was just as scary. They even made some rude comment about how she was so far away from the rest of the hunters.
Edan grabs her and teleports to the thing on top of the hill. This was probably it, right? It seemed like it. He brought her inside.
"You remember I have healing magic, right? I can help you." He supposed not everyone hated healers as much as he did. That's why he learned healing magic. And also why he didn't consider himself a healer even though he was decently good at it. Well... others are better. And it makes him sleepy.
"I honestly forgot..." she mumbled. "It was my fault, anyway. I don't wanna strain you." Damn, even taking deep breaths hurt. She supposed the ambrosia would fix most if not all of her injuries if she ate enough of it. But it didn't always work, which is why healers were in such high demand. "This isn't my first rodeo, either."
He hesitated, but set her down on an empty cot. "The professional healers probably know more than I do, anyway. I'll go get one." He wandered away, looking for a healer. But all of these people looked like teenagers. Perhaps they were like Sophia and aged differently.
It wasn't odd to Sophia in the slightest. There were barely any adults in camp at all, one of the few being Marilene, who was 20. It was a miracle she even got that old. The vast majority of demigods either didn't get to 18 or didn't last long after 18.
She kept her breathing shallow so her ribs wouldn't hurt and bit her cheek. She'd been beat up several times before. This wasn't a time to start crying.
Edan finds Kiara - he knew Kiara, so she was the only one he semi-trusted. And he knew that Sophia knew Kiara, so everything would be okay. He brought Kiara to the cot with Sophia on it.
"Jeez, mister, I can patch her up and give her ambrosia, but I can't do any magic until night." She knew she recognized this man, but that wasn't as important right now. She knelt down next to her sister and started looking at the cuts on her face. "One day back, and you already got into a fight. You gotta be more careful. I'll get some bandaids and rubbing alcohol. You already know the drill.
Sophia winced at the thought. Yeah, yeah, it was supposed to clean wounds, but no matter how many times she sat in this infirmary, the alcohol still stung just as much. And it stunk. It smelled like nail salons, doctors' offices, and dentists.
A young girl, maybe 6 years old, rolls up to Kiara in her wheelchair.
"Will you be my husband?"
- @how-do-legs-work
She looked down at the kid and frowned. Maybe she didn't do as much makeup today, but she definitely didn't think she looked that masculine. She still had some eyeliner, and her hair was put into big space buns, like she usually did when it didn't need to be put into something more protective. "One, I'm not a man. Two, I have a girlfriend whom I love very much."
"No. I'm not into polyamory." She crossed her arms. "Why would I marry some kid I just met? You look super young, and I don't know you. Now, if you don't mind, I have algebra homework."

Today, Edan and Sepah were in the library together, just sitting and reading. Sepah was currently obsessed with trying to figure out how the US economic system worked, while Edan was more interested in some help-I-had-a-baby-and-I-don't-know-how-to-take-care-of-it book that didn't look too sappy from the outside. Occasionally they'd ask each other questions, and they'd be able to figure it out together.

For whatever reason, Aurelia's father let her go out today. He didn't know that his daughter was all the way in New York to study with her trans girlfriend, but that was neither here nor there. He didn't need to know. She could just shadow travel Aurelia back whenever she needed. She was carrying a good few books in her arms over to one of the small tables when she froze. She stared at Edan, and Aurelia seemed to as well. They had the same expression of confusion and recognition on their faces. Did they know one of these guys? Why was he all the way over here? Perhaps it was rude to stare, but they couldn't help it. Eventually, Aurelia tapped Kiara's shoulder to try and get her attention, and they whispered something to each other.
Edan had this strange feeling that someone was talking about him, so he'd look up for a moment. But then he realized it was Kiara and Aurelia. The two he constantly made fun of. That could be bad. He put the book down on the table so no one could see the cover of the book he was reading. Just ignore them and they'll go away, right?
They sat at a table not too far away from Edan and Sepah, and Aurelia got to skimming through the book she found. Kiara tried her best to focus on what she was supposed to. She really did. She had some kind of essay due, and she couldn't afford to get a bad grade, hence why she had a thesaurus and a dictionary among her books. Even as she tried to concentrate, she just kept glancing at Edan skeptically. This seemed like the guy Sophia was always talking about, and she couldn't help but be worried. The poor girl was always getting into trouble, and she wasn't exactly the best at choosing who to hang out with.
Edan looked towards Sepah, annoyed when they sat at such a close table.
"You could apologize." Sepah said without even looking up. Edan just stared at him. How is it that he somehow knew exactly what was wrong when he didn't even say anything?
"They're clearly doing something. And I'm busy too."
Aurelia gently shook Kiara's shoulder, pointing to a passage in the book. "Hon, that essay, right? I think this has what you need. Wanna take a walk when it turns half past?"
"Right... Sorry. You know me, scatterbrained as always." Kiara started scribbling down notes with a frown on her face and tapping her foot anxiously.
Sepah just stood up and went over to the table with the two girls. He wasn't exactly what the animosity was about, but he could just tell that something was wrong, and Sepah wanted to learn and read in peace, and not have to deal with a distracted Edan.
Kiara gave the man a wary smile. Aurelia waved to him, looking much less nervous. Under the table, she gave Kiara's hand a gentle squeeze as if to reassure her that there weren't any monsters in here. "Sorry, who are you?"
Kiara hesitated. Something itched at her to talk to Edan. To ask about how Sophia was and make sure he was treating her little sister right. But she didn't want to be impolite. "It's okay. Sorry for uhm... Staring. Just thought I recognized you."
Surely they wouldn't notice that he accidentally just said that, knowing what they're doing without him being told. Exactly one of the powers of that enchanter that was kind of an asshole they both met a while back.
"Thanks..." She went back to hunching over her book and tapping her foot. She couldn't focus. She just kept thinking about what she wanted to ask him. Then, she got a part of Mama Mia stuck in her head on repeat. Over and over. Then, the Final Ultimo from Little Shop of Horrors stuck in her head at the same time. How? She didn't really know. Oh, gods, look at how pretty Aurelia is when the lights hit her eyes. Then she thought back to Sophia again. None of her several trains of thought were on her assignment, no matter how hard she tried. After a while, she sighed and put down her book, standing up and sitting across from them. She wasn't sure what she was doing. She wasn't sure what she was even going to say. Aurelia looked confused, but she followed Kiara regardless.
Edan looked up from the book he was reading, looking at Kiara. "Hello."
Sepah had this smug little smirk on his face that made Edan want to kick him under the table. He wouldn't do that, though. Not in front of Kiara, who already thought he was a horrible person.
She sighed and gave him an apologetic look. "You're– You're Edan, right? From the palace?" she started. Her tongue already felt heavy in her mouth, making it hard to speak. Maybe she was already losing her courage. "I think Sophia talks about you a lot. Or it could be a different Edan, I don't know."
"How many other Edan's do you know? I feel like it's not a very common name anymore. But- to answer your question, yes, I am him. I know Sophia."
Also the same Edan that can't understand people who are trans - well, somewhat, but not really. Apparently, Edan is considered "trans" too. Also the same Edan who made fun of the lesbians.
"Cool... She's my sister. I don't know if you know that already." She wrung her hands under the table. She couldn't just ask him if he was hurting Sophia. Even if he was, he could just lie. Besides, there was no evidence that he ever did. She was just overly concerned. Gods, she was starting to sound like Marilene. "Is she okay? She hasn't been getting hurt or anything, right?"

What’s ur opinion on the whole Sophia’s found family dad disowning her
Ur her sister so I wanted to know your input
She held up her finger, signaling the anon to wait a moment for her to finish bandaging this camper's arm. Then, she gestured for it to follow her a little out of the way. "What the Hades are you talking about right now?"
This will hopefully end up as comfort, but we shall see what happens

*soft sobs can be heard from the living room. She really would rather be doing this in her room, but she doesn't wanna stain anything in there more than she already has... She whimpers, biting down on her lower lip to try to be quiet as she pulls the needle through the deeper cut on her arm that still refused to heal, even a little bit, after the ambrosia...*
*this hurts... So much more than she's used to... She's really regretting doing this in the living room even more the more stitches she makes. Hot tears are streaming down her cheeks, blurring her vision while the trembling makes it difficult to keep the needle steady...*
*she goes to make another stitch but can't keep the scream of pain from escaping her. The now unrestrained sobs cause her to tremble violently and lose her grip on the sharp object in hand, letting it just dangle there from the thread in the half stitched, still bleeding wound*

"Stabby– Stabby!" Sophia hurried over to her, glancing around. What was she supposed to do? It wouldn't be a good idea to just put her hand on her shoulder or something right now. She didn't want to risk startling her when she had a needle hanging out of her arm. Is that why she wanted the thread?
"What are you doing? Why... Wouldn't it be better to find a medic?"
"Stabby, please. I can Iris Message my sister. At the very least, she can give you some painkillers." She looked over to Stabby's arm. "That thread probably isn't sterile. And something about shock if you're in too much pain or whatever."
*she doesn't respond, just buries her face in her knees to hide her tears. She needs help, she knows this, but she doesn't know this "Kiara" person. How does she know that they won't just hurt her more? She doesn't. And that's terrifying.*
"I swear on the Styx that she's going to try and help you, okay? She wouldn't hurt you. Do you know how many times she's had to heal my wounds?" She leaned forward and tilted her head, trying to look at Stabby's face from the side.
"I already did. I can't take that back now. But you need help, and I trust her more than any other medic. She's way better at healing than me. She knows what she's doing."
*she hesitates, she does need help, but does she really trust a stranger to help? Not really, but Sophia won't stop trying to convince her... She just nods, hoping that Sophia will understand what she means*
Kiara rubbed her eyes, looking up from something that looked like honework. There was a man behind her in the kitchen, cooking something. "What's up, Sophia?"
After Sophia explained the situation to Kiara, she sighed and told her dad she would be back in 20. With that, the Iris Message disappeared. After a few minutes, Kiara shadow traveled into the room, messenger bag, and medkit in hand.
"Hey... I can't stay here that long, but I'm still gonna fix this as best I can, okay?" She set down her med kit and took out some thread and a needle as well as a syringe. "This is gonna hurt for just a moment, but that's going to stop it from hurting when I stitch you up, okay?"
*she nods, looking towards the floor rather than either of the other girls. She hates this. She hates needing help. She feels useless. If those stupid cuts had just closed like they were supposed to, she wouldn't be in this situation, trusting a stranger with helping her.*
*she readjusts in her seat, just wiggling around to get more comfortable. She then takes off the bandages on her other arm, showing Kiara the other cuts that she hasn't gotten to yet*
Was gonna try to fix these ones too, but I don't think I'll be able to do it right now...
*she grabs a pillow to squeeze against her chest, having someone else do this is making her fidgety and anxious... Every instinct is telling her to fight back, to hurt, to kill, and to hide... It's confusing...*
"Of course. It's no trouble, really. Remember not to strain your arm too much. I'm in school for the year, so until the summer, you might wanna go to Will or someone else if anything happens." She stood up and ruffled Sophia's hair. "My dad should be just about finished with supper now, so I gotta go. Stay safe, okay?"
She shrugged and gave Sophia a quick hug. She said a few quick goodbyes and shadow traveled back to her house. There was no way she was gonna miss another supper witj her dad.
This will hopefully end up as comfort, but we shall see what happens
