Sasuke back tattoo i wrote the description within the chapter super vaguely bc i wasn’t sure if i wanted to be a whole yakuza tattooo or just something less yakuza like but still imitates that whole concept of yakuza bosses having back tattoo bc again this story isn’t set in japan

Thirdly, Sasuke pov intro scene is heavily inspired by pulp fiction it’s almost exactly the same thing just i changed their conversation to include hinata and i shortened it. I kind of used that scene bc that movie really helped inspired how i want sasuke world to be it’s like they’re these criminals but they act so normal about everything always make jokes as if they aren’t just about to kill some guy. I like that. Plus i want this story to be fun and unserious at times while also being serious.

It helps a lot with this theme that i’m going for in the story that’s like

these criminals stereotypical negative space isn’t always such a negative space yk. While the stereotypical positive spaces like the hospital, her school, could be the real negative space.

Also, with the fact that everyone sees thru sasuke and knows he overprotective and got a thing for hinata. More of that will be focused on chapter 21. Chapter 21 will have kakashi in it as well and karin i think

No offense to M. Kishimoto or to fans of the canon story and canon couple, but I’ve always loved this ship.

Not because one person could save the other but because each of them represents something the other lacks.

Hinata reminds Sasuke that the world is still worth giving one last chance. Sasuke reminds Hinata that some things don’t change on their own, and that real change requires the courage to question even the things we’ve been taught to accept.

Maybe that’s what I’ve always found so fascinating about their dynamic. Because the deepest change doesn’t happen when someone saves us, it happens when someone confronts us with truths that, on our own, we might never have had the courage to face.
