doing as I was told and dumping my thoughts about Rand here. He’s so fun and complex and I think my favorite thing I’ve noticed being done is the importance of his clothes and stuff, specifically his denim jacket and glasses. Like how, so far at least, whenever he does something with either of those two items it sorta signals a certain amount of sincerity or care from him (he takes his glasses off to speak to his mom in the basement and offers Rolan his jacket before they get to the hospital). It’s like these two bits of clothing are his shields that he uses to upkeep his specific persona of cool stoner guy, but whenever he is without either of them then it’s just him. It’s like a tangible version of Rand v Timothy.
