i think it's really slimy how christianity convinces women they're both smarter and dumber than men. like, smarter in that we have this knowledge with each other about how to act around men, we talk all the time about subtle ways to dumb ourselves down (though obvi they wouldn't call it that) to "uplift" men or make them feel better about themselves by putting ourselves below them.
there are entire genres of books about this, how-to guides for christian women, how to make yourself smaller for men, how to "encourage" certain traits in men. this subtle manipulation behind the scenes that he doesn't know about, while still trying to convince yourself you're subservient to him.
you're smarter than him in that you need to dumb yourself down, and dumber than him in that you need to submit to him while also like doing everything behind the scenes to "support" him, you're his manager and his support and his assistant and you're still supposed to be below him.
it's like women and the bible. like, undoubtedly we read the bible more. 90% of bible study stuff online, at least the ones doing it and not instructing it, is women. women attend church more, they take religion more seriously, they have to read between the lines of all their favorite verses because they're mostly written toward men, they put themselves into the "he" the verse is written to, they interpret it and translate it for themselves and have to put in effort into seeing themselves in the verses when men don't have to, they're the ones popularizing verses via artwork and that kind of thing, more churches have women's bible studies than men's because it's mostly women who are super into it. and we're still supposed to convince ourselves we're spiritually below men in the hierarchy, and go to a male authority if we have questions. lol. anyway-
