ㅤㅤㅤDaenerys  is  a  Nephilite,  born  from  the  Eternal  Aerys  and  his  union  with  a  human  woman  named  Rhaella.  However,  her  father  fell  into  madness,  afflicted  by  the  Mahd  Wy'ry.  Continuous  attempts  to  kill  and  revive  “uncorrupted”  Aerys  failed,  as  every  time  he  was  revived,  he  would  fall  to  the  same  madness;  thus  he  was  deemed  irreparably corrupt  and  killed  for  a  final  time,  his  revival  prohibited.  When  it  was  learned  that  Aerys  possessed  deviant  genes,  “deviant  syndrome”  was  blamed  for  his  recurring  descent  into  madness,  and  concern  arose  that  his  offspring  might  bear  the  same  predisposition  and  cause  trouble. 

ㅤㅤㅤDaenerys  was  ordered  to  be  slain  to  prevent  such  an  occurrence,  but  it  was  Ajak  who  led  the  opposition  to  this  proposed  solution,  instead  suggesting  that  she  should  be  sealed  away  safely  until  a  permanent  solution  to  deviancy  could  be  found.  She  was  sealed  inside  of  a  volcano,  protected  by  the  magma  within.  Alongside  Daenerys,  three  dragon  eggs  created  by  her  father  were  also  sealed  away,  for  like  his  daughter,  it  could  not  be  guessed  whether  the  creatures  would  emerge  as  deviant  beings  or  not.  It’s  there  she  slumbered  for  thousands  of  years,  all  but  forgotten  by  the  Eternals  as  they  failed  to  find  a  solution  other  than  death.

ㅤㅤㅤIt  was  the  shaking  of  the  earth  that  woke  her  at  last,  drawn  back  to  consciousness  by  the  eruption  around  her  underneath  the  aligning  planets  in  the  sky  above.  A  pure  accident,  a  coincidence  of  fate  that  could  not  be  foreseen,  and  the  modern  world  marveled  as  their  television  screens  showed  recordings  of  a  woman  rising  from  the  flow  of  pouring  lava,  three  small  creatures  clinging  to  her  body.

He   rose   from   his   carved   chair   of   black   oak,   one   hand   resting   casually   on   the   hilt   of   his   sword—not   in   threat,   but   habit.   A   king   now,   but   still   a   knight   in   muscle   and   memory.   "Your   father,"   he   said,   voice   low   but   steady,   "commanded   an   entire   city   to   be   set   ablaze   at   his   whim   for   he   couldn't   control   them.   And   he   saw   no   other   reason.   Just   to   burn   them.   He   would   have   burned   every   man,   woman,   and   child   alive   just   to   feel   like   a   god   before   the   end.   Do   you   know   how   many   people   live   in   King's   Landing?"   He   speaks   back   before   he   lets   out   the   speech   he   always   had   desired   out   loud.   "Should   I   had   protected   him   while   he   laughed   over   their   screams?   Or   perhaps   when   he   demanded   I,   a   child   at   the   time,   brought   him   my   father's   head."

He   stepped   forward,   close   enough   that   her   breath   hitched.   Not   in   fear—no,   she   was   not   that   sort   of   girl—but   in   recognition   of   the   weight   he   carried.   The   weight   she   mocked.   "The   sword   I   used   to   kill   him   was   forged   to   defend   the   realm.   I   did   not   break   my   oath.   I   kept   the   one   he   had   forgotten.   The   Kingsguard   do   not   protect   kings   and   queens   but   the   crown.   And   your   father   was   ready   to   burn   the   world   with   it."   There   was   no   triumph   in   his   tone,   no   boast.   Just   the   steel   of   truth,   hard-earned   and   hated.

▐║  ♛  ┊  𝐈𝐓  𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐒  𝐀𝐒  𝐈𝐅  𝐒𝐇𝐄  𝐇𝐀𝐒  𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃  𝐀𝐋𝐋  𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄  𝐓𝐎  𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐓  𝐇𝐈𝐌.  The  Kingslayer.  The  man  who  killed  her  father  and  stole  her  family's  throne.  He  was  not  the  one  who  started  the  Rebellion,  but  it  was  he  who  slit  her  father's  throat.  His  sword  that  struck  down  a  king,  and  the  Baratheon  fleets  that  made  sure  her  family  would  never  recover  thereafter.  Or  so  they  had  all  believed.  But  Daenerys  has  risen  from  the  ashes,  unburnt,  born  anew  amidst  every  flame  meant  to  destroy  her.  Now  that  she  is  face  to  face  with  the  man  who  holds  the  throne  she  would  claim  as  hers,  she  knows  she  must  carry  herself  as  a  queen  should.  That  she  mustn't  let  the  emotion  of  it  all  overwhelm  her.  But  it's  hard  to  set  it  all  aside  when  the  memories  of  the  years  of  her  childhood  spent  in  fear and destitution  come  flooding  back,  just  by  virtue  of  at  last  being  within  the  Red  Keep.  What  should  have  been  her  home,  but  because  that  was  taken  from  her  before  she  was  even  born,  she  is  here  only  as  a  tentative  guest.
