Cuppa with Mervé

Hi again,

Hope you’re all doing well.

It’s been a while since my last post, clearly, I couldn’t multi task with a newborn and trying to learn how to be a mother - if you can’t tell, haha!

Well I guess it’s about time I say I’m back and back for good (I hope so anyway)

I have somewhat a little more experience to be able to chat about and that feels great.

I must mention I had bad days along with some good ones but I love my boy millions still 🥰

I will be doing daily posts here, talking about my pregnancy experiences and early motherhood experiences. Any particular topics you want me to touch on, feel free to send a message.

Hi everyone,

It’s Merve {Mervé}, I’m a quarter of a century old and now a mother of a little man, who is 46 days old today..

For many this blogs contents might have very little experience, for others, it will be like fresh baked bread coming out the oven. Every feeling of motherhood is crisp and fresh here.

Its like being a baby myself and learning how to walk again; there are pebbles and stones in front of me tripping me up as I try to go forward.

It’s like being a student again and learning something new, but you do not have a teacher and do not go in lectures, you learn as you go. You actually realise that you knew everything all along but didn’t know you had it in you. All the knowledge is in there and you figure it out as you nurture your little one.

Motherhood is a big step, a very big step to take in life. It opens a new door in your life, you find yourself to be a woman that can do much more than you thought you could. Your heart grows, bigger and fonder.. You experience a type of love that had never existed before.

Of course, it’s not happy days all the time, probably not even half the time because one moment you see a tiny little face with a big smile but the next hour they will cry like there is no tomorrow.

During my pregnancy I didn’t know anything, was very uneducated if you want to call it.. but that was okay with me, as I like to learn new things and educate myself which I think I did really well. I read a lot and listened to myself a lot. Birth was a whole new topic on its own. I’m still learning.. And from now on I will learn something new every day..
