âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ (i still have yours i am just sLOW AS BALLs) (Dawn, Obi, and Rain!)
For each ââď¸â I get, Iâll write a headcanon about our muses.
âď¸ - Riku isnât sure initially how to act with Rain. The man seems to recognize him somehow, and Riku worries that he somehow isnât measuring up to some kind of expectation. Defiance against that underscores his need to prove himself, which will drive Riku into pushing himself harder. The more Rain seems to observe and judge him, the more Riku will try to prove himself.
âď¸ - If nothing else, Riku is grateful to Rain. Grateful that the other was there for Aqua. He knows how it is to be alone in a dark world seeing nothing but illusions and memories, and can remember the relief he felt when he found someone real and solid, as well as friendly. If given the chance, Riku is going to try to convey his gratitude.
âď¸ - Riku expects Obi to dislike him. Even with the knowledge that the heart was different from the keyblade itself, Riku still holds onto some concern that Oblivion will harbor some of the dislike Roxas had for him within. That, or the nature of the keybladeâs origin to have some effect on his opinion. Despite the assurance that no, there isnât any resentment in his direction, Riku is not yet convinced.
âď¸- An idle thought has passed through Rikuâs head about Obi: if he had a sibling, would it look like that? Seeing him have to wear the blindfold also makes Riku quite sad. Doing so for sometime himself makes him sympathetic to the need and requirement, but he did not enjoy it. He worries that Obi does not appreciate it either, or may not know different.
âď¸ -There are still sometimes when Riku will refer to Way to Dawn as Soul Eater. Dawn herself is separate entirely in his mind in part because he questions how someone so beautiful in nature and appearance can come from something so monstrous as Soul Eater. Her own opinion of it surprises him when/if he learns of it.
âď¸ - Dawn has surprised him with how attentive to him she seems to be. While he sort of knows about the bond between the heart and the wielder of the keyblade, Riku doesnât know the extent of it. Thus he is more shocked by someone even understanding him as well as she seems to. Regardless, he is grateful to her even if he doesnât express it. He also would not change his mind when he does grasp the nature of the bond, instead wishing and hoping that he might be able to make it work both ways, so he could also help Dawn.
âď¸ - Bonus for Obi : If/When Riku finds out about about the depth of the bond between wielder and the new hearts, and learns about how sundered Oblivion and Oathkeeper are from theirs, Riku wants to help. He wants to give Obi a way to feel connected and wanted again. However he wonât risk doing such a thing to Dawn as well. Dual wielding keyblades doesnât necessarily equate being bonded to more than one.
