Good day friends and family! Please read my story on gofundme. I’m asking for charitable donations from the good people of the internet to assist my parents in payment for a costly genetic assessment my mother has to undergo to treat her Alzheimer’s disease. My parents do not know I am doing this. My father is a proud man and would never ask for charity. Others may think that asking for charity is “embarrassing.” This couldn’t be further from the truth. I am not embarrassed asking for help for my mother. This is a concept derived from our competitive western society. In other cultures, people are not looked down upon when asking for help/charity. In fact the opposite is true; they are often admired and seen with courage. I’m not saying I’m admirable or courageous, but rather a concerned son that would like to relieve some of the stress I see my parents struggle with on a daily basis. My father has worked so hard my whole life to support my family, and has done a wonderful job of doing so. My parents were married on my mother’s birthday (May 6th) and have been together for 30 years. Help me celebrate their love and communion by sharing this project and sparing any disposable income you may have! Every little bit counts. Like any son or daughter, I want my parents to have many more mindful, happy years to come; this was the best idea I could come up with so far. Bad things may happen to good people, but good people can help the bad things.
