Electronic Ambassador

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, better known by The Weeknd released this synthpop, disco-funk piece in November 2015. It has often been compared to the work of Michael Jackson, with many critics saying the real greatness lies in Abel’s voice work. He pushes his vocals to their limit without breaking the ceiling.

Not really sure how to classify this. It starts off slow and is awesome all throughout. I was mezmerised the whole time trying to figure out what was going on in the music video. How did I not see it?

This wonderfully contemplative song exudes beauty, thought, and allows one to reflect. I love it.

A very nice space/ocean kinda feel to it. I say that because most songs that make me think of outer space travel also work with underwater exploring. Check it out. Digitally Imported has this listed as Breaks. If you know how to classify it better let me know.

Vargo is the first German artists (a duo) to be featured on Cafe del Mar. This is a remix of their 2001 breakout hit. Their music has been featured on over 50 compilation albums.

Heard this on the breaks channel on Digitally Imported. Just a really nice track. Relaxing, but engaging. Would be nice for a drive in a sports car on winding country roads.

A nice Future Garage song. I really like the Middle Eastern sounding vocables toward the middle of the song.

Vincent Belorgey is an artist specializing in French House, synthpop, and electroclash. His music has been compared to acts like Daft Punk and Danger. He loved watching movies as a kid and says he picked out the best part of all the films he watched and combined them into one concept. His music is similar to the music from 1980′s films. He achieved worldwide fame when the original version of this song was featured in the film “Drive” starring Ryan Gosling.
