This time we're finishing the first Kerock CD with Telescope, which is also the last track of the original anime, though it was a coincidence that this was the last one, it's the perfect one.
We've all hear the saxophone section, and that it usually played during the more tender moments of the show makes it feel like a fitting end to this chapter in the uploads. (^.^)

Made a sketch redraw of this wet Tamama.
This song was a fun surprise, "Mattetemo ii wa" or "Waiting is alright" is the final song from the album "Tomodachi no uta", the single for the Chibi Kero short. To me the title single was always firmly an OK song, I didn't actively dislike it, but it wasn't never a favourite of mine while this one has a very different feeling that reminds me of mid to late 1960s music groups like "The Mamas and the Papas" which I really enjoy (^.^)

Here's one you might not recognise, I know I was curious when I first saw this song mentioned on the track list for the third "Pekopon Shinryaku" CD, since I had never seen it before
I admit, I was initially disappointed it was one of the few special songs included with the CD dramas not primarily sung by the cast, (the other was Pekopon Shinryaku Ondo, which I already liked and was excited to have the karaoke version). But I've warmed up to it, and it has a small mystery attached to it
The track list on the CD says it was used as the song for an event called the "Earth Invasion Team Recruitment Campaign", but I've not been able to find anything else about it, I tried searching online, but it just lead back to the CD. I suspect it was an in-person event related to the debut of the anime and this was used in the ads and possibly played at the event, but it's been 20 years since it happened and none of the Keroro specialty magazines would have been made yet
Hopefully at some point we can at least find a commercial using the song
It's our 200th post! To celebrate I'm sharing something I've been holding onto for a little while, the Italian opening
While most international dubs used a translation of Kero! To March (even Korea, who created original music for each season made the first opening recognisable as being based on the song), Italy composed an entirely new song completely different from the original to use as the opening, one that's really good
They do this with a lot of series, I recommend looking up the Italian openings for any show you're a fan of, since they have some really amazing theme songs (^.^) Either way, I hope you enjoy this unique Keroro song
AH THE NOSTALGIA!!!

At this point I've been running this blog for about 6 months, long enough that now some CDs are starting to have had everything on them posted, Pekopon Shinryaku 1 was the first one, I believe, and this is the second.
Just like "I want to buy juice for you", this song "Familial Shock" is a humourous and sincere look at an experience from growing up."I want to buy juice" talks about navigating your first date with somebody, from realising that it's no good if one person gives everything, to being annoyed that your date took your chair
Familial Shock follows all the times the singer expected to get the money gift that children traditionally receive around New Years and didn't get it. From age 4's "Even though I greeted everyone properly", to age 8's "My relatives decided to just buy me something they thought I'd spend it on instead of letting me choose", to age 10's "Somebody got married to a pretty lady and the couple didn't give me my new year's cash gift" to briefly stopping at age 14 when you're around the cut-off point
Now I want to look up the rest of their discography to see if this is a theme in all Group Tamashii's music, or was specific to this CD (^.^)
This one is a bit shorter, but also one I've had my eye on for a while, since I expected it would have a very soft, pretty feeling to it, and it didn't disappoint in that regard. But besides that, it fits really well to the title, which means "All Alone", or something to that effect, and to me does a good job at conveying the feelings of being completely alone, regardless of what that means to you.
For some being alone is the quiet, healing eye of the proverbial storm, while for others it can feel melancholy, or ill at ease, which this song feels like it could be, depending on your state of mind while listening (^.^)
