They make a profit. They used to make a big profit until Republicans in Congress legislated that they turn over most of their revenue. They are the most efficient postal service in the history of the world.
Imagine if it were turned over to UPS, FedEx, or Amazon. Every other parcel would be lost and nobody would be held accountable. You could also expect prices to spiral out of control immediately. FedEx and Amazon are not unionized either and all three are run by tyrants.
You people are so stupid itโs a wonder you can get dressed in the morning. Trump isnโt out to destroy the Post Office. The last year the USPS was in the black was 2006. The post office started losing money in 2007 as they were required to pre fund retirees health benefits. It has steadily lost money since people started emailing instead of writing letters. The new postmaster that just stepped down hasnโt done much to a void losing money either.
