Your 3 favorite activities for rainy weather

I'll start:

1) Reading. Might be a fiction book, might be a non-fiction book, might be fanfiction. Reading is great.

2) Knitting and/or crochet. Doesn't have to be for the same season - but currently it actually is (shawl)

3) Watching music videos or stage performances. I don't know why it's so much fun, but it is.

it depends on the kind of rain, but if it's raining heavily then i'll definitely be outside at some point, jumping around and into puddles and getting absolutely soaked

cuddle up in warm blankets and writing/reading something while hearing the rain come down

listening to podcasts and maybe creating something with my hands meanwhile. that's always a good thing.

i mean, those are just my normal hobbies for the most part but they feel even more fun if it's raining soo :)

1. playing the Malevolent theme song on the piano! i first got into the podcast during the rainiest week ever (like, massive floods in my city type of rain) and now whenever it rains i feel the compulsion to play Faroe’s Song as a sort of homage to it ^^

2. playing Minecraft!! there’s something about the rain that just makes the whole game feel that much cozier and more engaging.

3. baking :3 honestly i like baking in any weather, but it’s really fun to do when it’s all chilly and wet out and you get to hang out with the warm oven inside a nice, dry home!

1. I’d have to say reading a scary book, my personal favorite selection is The Shining. I love the themes of isolation and insanity, and sometimes I can imagine that I’m watching the rain from the overlook hotel

2. Making hot chocolate, no brainer

3. Reading Stormlight Archive and imagining I’m weathering a high storm inside of a shelter

1. I think the most obvious choice is reading, since it's all that I do with my free time, really. So I'd pick one of the whichever 2-3 books I'm reading and just let the time go by. Sometimes I like to challenge myself to finish one book in one day, but I've only been able to do that once. (And I agree that The Stormlight Archive is a great pick too, the weather really sets the mood for a story full of storms).

2. If I'm not reading, then I'll probably draw something. Can't tell you what, because that really depends on my mood that day. This is actually a 2 in 1 because I always listen to music while I draw. And yes, the music I choose also depends on my mood.

3. Finally, I think you can never go wrong with rewatching one of your favourite movies or TV series. For me, that's usually something from studio ghibli, ohshc, or shadow and bone. And I don't care that I've already seen them a hundred times because they're still amazing. Cozying up with a big soft blanket and watching my favourite film always makes me so happy! I'll sometimes make a mug cake too to make the experience even better. But that's already more that 3 activities hehe.

1. as you said the obvious choice is reading! i've actually been a huge audiobook person lately, so i can cozy up on the couch with a blanket and my dog on my lap by the fire and pull out whatever craft i'm currently working on! bonus points if i have a cup of hot tea as well, i have this cute mug and sipping from it is just... so cozy!!

2. there's something about playing music on a rainy day... i've been learning guitar this year since i have a lot more free time and there's just something so comforting about playing guitar with rain sounds in the background! esp when its dark because of all the heavy cloud cover...

3. if it's heavily raining at night, i love cuddling in bed with my blankets and i usually listen to an audiobook to fall asleep but instead I turn it off and bask in the sound of the rain. i sleep in a loft bed so i'm close to the roof and the extra darkness that rain brings to my room at night... it's just so nice!!

1. that's ironic :] it's raining right now!! listening to music for SURE. there's some songs i listen to that really set the mood for rainy days like this; especially Nightvision or Voyager by Daft Punk imo... i feel like songs really bring us together on rainy days/nights like these..its so nice

2. This one's a little silly, but i kinda just.....watch the rain? yknow??? i still watch two droplets fall down and make a race in my head & betting who's gonna win. Used to do it all the time growing up and i still love doin that cx

3. i'll draw something during the rain..it's not uuusually related to the rain but i use the rain more as a background noise and it's really relaxing :D usually after drawing during the rain i end up falling asleep listening to the rain gently hit my window.

i gotta get back into reading asap..i remember one time it was raining and, i was really invested in the chaos walking series and i. Read the entire 2nd book in one day cause i was so invested in the story c: it was so fun

1.) i love listening to music while it rains too!!! usually like black metal n stuff like that cuz idk,,,, that sorta music fits SO SO well with the rain and the cold!!!

2.) i also just play games during the rain too!! mainly cuz its a comfy indoor activity ^-^
