“Keera?” Fennie’s voice rings out in the living room as he glances in from the doorway. Once he’s satisfied that she’s not home, he carefully makes his way in, arms full of packages.  It’s been a long week, stuck away in Limsa for work, and he suspects she’s had an equally terrible one judging by the late bell and her absence. Carefully, he sets down the packages in the kitchen and begins untying each. A small slice of cake carefully wrapped in a box, some new books he’d picked up at Hawker’s Alley placed beside the couch, a few chocolates and a satchel of tea resting atop them. 

He moves to the bedroom, carefully placing and lighting candles, setting down a few vases of fresh flowers, and placing a few petals atop the bed itself. Finally satisfied, Fennie lets out a gentle hum, before turning. He settles down at his desk in the study with his own mug of tea, pulling on his glasses and sitting back into the chair with a book of his own. It’ll likely be another bell or so before she arrives home- absently missing the books and cake in her exhaustion, and likely falling to the bed in a tired heap before she notices the flowers- but, he muses, the happy squeal she’ll make upon finally noticing them will be worth it all. Fennie smiles to himself, turning the page of his book.
