Becoming a mother at such a young age (20) was hard. Not only was I a mother, but a single mother at that! There was not a moment I ever regretted having my daughter, but I was always worrying myself AM I READY ? CAN I DO THIS ALONE? And of course WILL I BE A GOOD MOTHER ?. During my pregnancy I didn’t have the biggest support system that I wish I did, but the few people I did have, helped me along the way. I can’t say that motherhood ever gets easy, because let’s be honest it’s stressful! Once you get back home from the hospital reality sets in pretty quickly. From time to time you’ll find yourself not even remembering if you ate or the last time you got any sleep, but it’s the little moments like when your baby cuddles next to you at night and all you can do is smile like wow, I made this beautiful child. At times, I find myself losing a sense of self at times, because I have to be super mom. We have to remember that no one is perfect and NO parent is the same, comparing yourself to the next mother will make you insane! Don’t ever put yourself down because you became a mother at earlier time in your life than you expected.
