Defending champion Rafa Nadal lost the first set without winning a game against Dominic Thiem but fought back to win the U.S. Open quarter final with a 0-6 6-4 7-5 6-7(4) 7-6(5) in match of 4 hours and 49 minutes that ended past 2 a.m. in New York.
