‘golden age’ and lee pace

first can i just say that the play in and of itself is brilliant? like the entire cast was incredible and i was so moved by the content and GOD LEE IS SUCH A GREAT ACTOR.

also lee singing, lee in tight pants, lee’s expression and his acting, DID I MENTION HIS FUCKING SINGING, and his hair and his everything. he recited poetry, played the piano, SUNG, talked about sex, and was just INCREDIBLE.

after the show i was so nervous because they don’t really have a stage door at the theatre i was at but the usher said just wait in the lobby and the actors usually come out.

so i was just chilling when all of a sudden i look up and see him coming down the hall (it took me a moment because he was wearing a hat, pictured above). i stop and smile, and he smiles back, and as he’s coming forward, the FIRST THING I SAY IS ‘god you’re tall’. and he laughs and says ‘i certainly am.’

as i’m trying to find my camera i tell him how much i loved the play and he thanks me for coming and i just expressed my thoughts about the character we played and had a nice chat… and then i came around and said ‘i’ve also seen you in other things - you were great in lincoln, and the hobbit. i mean, how great was the scene with the elk!’

and lee laughed omg and he was just ‘yeah it was so much fun.’ and we talked for a bit on thranduil’s character and then lee added: ‘but don’t worry there will be more thranduil in the next film.’ and we talked briefly about mirkwood and the clips i saw of him at comic con and he’s like ‘we’ll see what pj does! and i can’t wait for you to see it!’

and somehow in there i had my picture taken and THEN HE SHOOK MY HAND i thanked him for all of his work (pushing daisies, the fall, etc.) and he thanked me again and then he left.
