The relationship you share with Diluc is quite entertaining on your end, especially being the older sister of Diona, the cryo girl that wants to completely destroy the wine industry.

You accepted her hatred towards the industry. You knew you wouldn’t be able to change her mind about it after all.

And with the hatred towards the wine industry, came the hatred towards the one and only red-headed pyro user in Mondstadt; Diluc.

You had never actually met Diluc before you stopped by Angel’s Share one night. You’d only hear about him from Diona and most of it was her complaining about him and how if he wasn’t around, her goal would be much easier to accomplish.

That night when you stopped by Angel’s Share, you found yourself returning almost every night. There was just something that attracted you towards the redhead. You couldn’t use the excuse you enjoyed his wine because after all, you too had a distaste for wine just like your sister.

But luckily for you, the feelings you had for Diluc were mutual. He, too, felt the same towards you just as you did for him.

When Diona first learned of your relationship with Diluc, let’s just say she didn’t handle it well but was still accepting at the same time. She didn’t enjoy it, but it wasn’t like she could change your mind. As long as Diluc treated you well, she wouldn’t complain.

And Diluc did in fact treat you well. He treated you like a princess.

Whenever the two of you had time, Diluc would take you out for a walk around the city of Mondstadt and treat you to dinner. Sometimes he would even bring you back to Dawn Winery and have dinner be made there.

If you were to leave beyond the gates of Mondstadt for a romantic walk either during the night or day, he would be sure to bring his claymore with him. Diona was the only one in your family with a vision, even though she claims otherwise. If anything were to happen, Diluc would be the one who would have to protect you.

You were never trained in combat, only really in hunting due to your feline bloodline and family history as hunters. You had skills with a bow, but it was nothing compared to having a vision.

Speaking of your bloodline, Diluc loves to admire your ears and tail. Oftentimes, he absentmindedly finds himself reaching out towards your ears. They’re just so soft, this man can’t resist. He especially loves it whenever you’re walking together and you wrapped your tail around his arm. It brings him a sense of comfort.

Diluc oftentimes never went to bed when you did. He would be staying up late, dealing with pretty much anything that had to be done before he could rest for the day. It would range from reading over paperwork or fulfilling his Darknight duties.

So most of the time, you'd head to bed before him. But you'd always know right when he would come to bed. You would always feel a dip in the bed his warm arms wrapping around your form as a protective shield. He was your protector from anything that could harm you.

Of course, there were times when the two of you would head to bed together.

But tonight was not one of those nights. Tonight, you didn't have that protective shield.

Diluc had gone out to deal with any possible enemies around Mondstadt, leaving you and any servants left in the mansion.

Everything seemed peaceful enough. You were dreaming away at first, subconsciously waiting for Diluc's arrival home. But that peaceful dream soon shifted into a nightmare. You began to picture horrid visions; blood splattered everywhere and Diluc's body laid out in the center of it all.

Diluc was just arriving home during this whole nightmare, instantly making his way towards your shared bedroom. Just as he reached towards the doorknob, a noise from the inside of the room distracted him.

He heard your cries. His eyes shot open, immediately shoving the door open.

"(Y/N)!"

He found you quivering underneath the bedsheets, rolling up in a little ball. Diluc rushed towards you, crouching beside the bed and reaching his hands out towards you.

"(Y/N), what's wrong? What happened?"

But all you did was swing your head back and forth, the disturbing pictures engraved into your mind as the wet tears streamed down your face. No matter how hard you tried, the words just wouldn't come out of your mouth, only painful sobs.

This only doubled the amount of worry growing inside Diluc. He felt incapable of doing anything. You wouldn't tell him what was bothering you. He could only conclude you had a nightmare since there seemed to be no evidence of a break-in.

Diluc only felt guilt at that moment. He was supposed to act as your protector, but he couldn't even protect you from the nightmares occurring in your sleep.

The only thing he could deem to do was lay beside you. He gazed towards your redden face, his hands absentmindedly reaching for you. He wrapped them around your trembling body, pulling you against him.

"I realize you don't want to talk about it now, love. If you wish, we can discuss it tomorrow morning when you're feeling more confident. But until then, I'll be here by your side."

You only responded with a headshake and a sniffle.

Everyone who learned of your existence was shocked, to say the least. Xiao had always appeared cold and distant to approach, so when the citizens of Liyue heard that the Adeptus Xiao had become attached to a human, it was unexpected.

It was unexpected for Xiao as well. He was positive he built up a high enough wall so no one would ever be able to climb up. But you were full of surprises ever since he first met you.

At first, he was annoyed by your existence. You would drop by Wangshu Inn every couple of days, a bowl of almond tofu in your hands as a gift for him.

He honestly just wanted you to leave him alone, but over time you managed to break down that wall he built around his heart and proudly marched your way through.

Sometimes he wished that he never formed an attachment towards you, that you never tried so hard to earn his attention. After all, you were a mortal. You would eventually pass away; whether it be from sickness, injuries, or natural death.

Internally to himself, Xiao swore one thing.

He would do absolutely everything in his power to protect you from anything. He was aware that you could handle things on your own for the most part, but what if there was a day when you couldn't? That thought was latched onto Xiao's mind whenever you were away.

He wished he could follow you wherever you traveled, but he had an obligation to follow.

But he still required you to call out to him whenever you were in trouble.

So when he heard you call out to him in the middle of the night, stars and the moon illuminating in the sky, a flash of concern reflected in his eyes. He knew where you were, you were supposed to be asleep in your bed

He disappeared from the roof of the inn, appearing beside your bed, prepared for anything that could perhaps be hurting you in the middle of the night.

But, there was nothing. Only you.

"Xiao!"

Only then did the Adeptus realize the reason you were crying out his name. Your eyes were squeezed shut, your body moving in frantic motions underneath the bedsheets.

When Xiao spotted tears leaking out of the tips of your eyes, he felt frozen in place. He wasn't sure how to react to this; should he wake you up or wait for you to wake up?

Or should he resort back to his old ways? Back to the time where he would devour the dreams of others. In your case, wouldn't that be the best scenario? He may feel an attraction towards you, but he still isn't the best at understanding human emotions.

"You mortals are confusing..."

Careful to not wake you, Xiao slid underneath the sheets beside your quivering form. His eyes were locked onto you and only you at that moment before they fluttered shut.

Albedo didn’t seem worried at first when it came to your eyebags. He just assumed you weren’t sleeping very well.

Honestly, I doubt Albedo gets well rested at night. He probably stays up late doing alchemy stuff after all. He always advised you to go to bed ahead of him for you to get the best sleep possible.

Whenever he would come to bed, you’d always be passed out under the bedsheets.

So when Albedo noticed your dark eyebags, he was puzzled.

You seemed to be sleeping like a log at night. You were always passed out and dreaming away whenever he arrived home to your shared bed.

The only hypothesis to this he could speculate was that you were indeed staying up late at night. Were you possibly staying up late at night waiting for him?

This only made Albedo more concerned. He told you that there was no reason for you to stay up late waiting for him. But you went and did it anyway, resulting in you passing out at night waiting every night.

The guilt Albedo felt made him mess up a couple of times the following day. Items would slip out of his grasp the moment he let the guilt surface.

He confided to Sucrose about the issue, his head in his hands.

“Well Mister Albedo, shouldn’t you just…be honest with them about your concerns?”

So that night, you were getting prepared for bed. Just as you sat on the bed, the door slammed open.

You jumped a little, swinging your head to the maniac that decided to scare you just as you were about to head to bed for the night.

Albedo stood there, a serious expression planted on his facial features.

“Albedo?”

“Stop staying up late for me.”

An awkward smile crept up onto your face, cocking your head off to the side.

“What do you mean?”

“Your eyebags. I’ve noticed them. You need to get more sleep.”

“But Albedo-“

He wasn’t listening to you though. His face morphed into a more sincere, worried one as he moved towards the bed.

“I want what's best for your health. Please stop staying up late waiting f-”

“Bedo, I don't stay up late for you.”

Albedo froze on the spot, blinking as his brain shut off.

“I go to bed on time each night. Who said I ever stay up late for you? Bedo, I love you, but I’d rather sleep than wait for you for hours.”

He was almost offended by that statement.

“But...your eyebags.”

“Oh, yeah they won't leave no matter what I do. Probably payback for staying up late years earlier. I should probably try some sort of cream to get rid of them.”

As you blabbered on and on about your eyebags, Albedo was still trying to restart his brain. Sure he was the one who had originally told you your health was more important, but why did that statement hurt so much-

For the past few days, you’ve hardly been able to get a single glimpse of Diluc. He’s been so preoccupied with his work that you never see him, you only hear him bid you goodbye early every morning.

The only people to keep you company was the maids working at his mansion. They would take care of you by making any meals and just cleaning throughout the building.

Meanwhile, you just did whatever you pleased.

I mean, this was your home as well so there wasn’t really anyone stopping you. You’d just do whatever you felt like doing at the moment.

But you got to a point where you were bored. You missed the feeling of Diluc and the warmth he always had radiating from him. You craved the feeling to be wrapped up in his arms.

You wanted to feel loved

So since absolutely nothing was stopping you from doing whatever you pleased, you decided to go on a little adventure.

And by adventure, I mean taking a little trip to Mondstadt and stopping by Angel’s Share.

Diluc never exactly said you couldn’t visit while he worked, but I don’t think he ever thought you would so he never said anything.

It was late into the evening when you finally reached the gates of Mondstadt. The exhausted guards greeted you with a lazy wave as you passed by them.

It didn’t take too long to find Angels Share.

Creaking open the door to Angel’s Share, you peeked your head in. The bar was completely deserted besides a single man residing behind the counter; Diluc.

“Diluc!”

Diluc’s head perked up instantaneously.

“(Y/N)?”

He rushed out from behind the counter to come to greet you at the entrance.

“Love, what are you doing here? You should be back home getting ready for bed.”

“I missed you, so I wanted to come to see you. We haven’t been spending much time together after all.”

Diluc could feel the heat rising up to his face. How could you say that without being embarrassed in the slightest?

The smile on your face wasn’t helping his situation whatsoever. But soon enough, his eyes caught something off about your appearance.

“Love, have you been sleeping well at night?”

“Yeah, why?”

“You’ve got dark eyebags underneath your eyes.”

Oh yeah, you forgot those were there. You were so used to them being there that you forgot all about them.

“Oh, yeah. So, they refuse to leave no matter what I do. I get at least a solid eight hours of sleep every night, but they just don’t seem to want to leave.”

“Have you tried different treatments?”

“I have tried all the possible ones here in Mondstadt, but nothing seems to be working.”

“Perhaps something to help you could be located in Liyue…”

“You don’t have to do that for me!”

But Diluc wasn’t having any of that. He lifted his gloved hand, cupping your cheek, and gazed towards you lovingly.

“Love, I hope you realize the things I’d do to make you smile.”

Zhongli never expected him to fall for a mortal. When you came into his life, at first he was a little concerned. After all, you were just a human with a limited life span. If he were to get attached, he would be forced with leaving you behind. He would be forced with watching you age and eventually pass on.

So, when he first felt the bubbly feeling inside his chest whenever he would spend time with you, he was wary. He tried to distance himself from you, but in the end, it didn't go as planned.

He still became attached, it was just something he couldn't prevent.

Now he finds himself with you whenever he can. He'd rather spend time making memories with you than worrying about your fate.

Although, whenever the two of you would go out, you were the one who always ended up paying.

"My love, I don't have any mora."

"Expected. But luckily, I brought some with us."

He was always grateful for having you at his side. When he told you that he was actually the Geo Archon, he expected you to not believe him and find him weird.

But strangely enough, you believed every word he told you

This man has been a puppy following you around ever since. He adores it whenever you hold his hand in public; it always brings a smile to his face.

He also worries about your health constantly. After all, you're mortal.

So when you met with him after his work was completed for a little date in Liyue, his eyes were wide with concern.

"My love, have you not been getting enough sleep at night?"

"Yup! I've been sleeping perfectly fine."

Zhongli was suspicious of that statement.

"Are you positive?"

"I'm 100% positive, Zhongli. Trust me, if I was having issues sleep I would tell you immediately."

"Then why do you have such dark eyebags underneath your eyes?"

"Not really sure. They don't seem to want to go away. I get a solid eight hours every night, too. I guess I'm just stuck with them."

"Do they bother you at all?"

"I mean, the only issue is when people look at me funny because of them. Otherwise, I forget they exist."

Zhongli didn't like that one bit. He didn't mind that you had the eye bags, but what he did mind was that people would give you looks due to them.

"I"ll find something."

"Huh?"

"I'll find something that'll help fix your eyebags. I'd rather not have people giving you looks because of them."

"You don't have to do that! It's perfectly fine."

But Zhongli wasn't listening to a word you were saying.

"I'll find Childe. I'm sure he'd be happy to pay for anything I'll need-"

Albedo definitely didn’t mind you being distant towards him. I mean, he struggles with interactions in general so he just assumed,

“Oh, they must struggle as well.”

He never saw it as an issue between you since he knew deep down that you deeply cared for him.

He knew you’d always come back to him at the end of the day, he fully trusted that fact about you.

Strangely enough, he found you an intriguing person due to this.

Although the citizens in Mondstadt appear to see him in a positive light, there still are many who fear him deep down. After all, he keeps his secrets zipped up inside him. They know absolutely nothing about him or anything he’s capable of.

But you…you didn’t seem to care about that. And he was thankful for that.

And that brings you to today; a bright sunny day with the rays from the sun gleaming down.

The two of you, along with Klee, were outside the walls of Mondstadt, nearby the lake surrounding the city of freedom.

Today, Klee decided to have a little play date with the two of you. While Albedo was painting away, you and Klee were supposed to play around together.

If he’s being honest, Albedo was a little nervous.

You and Klee had never played together before and due to the distant and cold personality he was used to when it came to you, he wasn’t sure how you’d react with being around a bouncy and hyper child such as Klee.

So when Albedo spotted you playing with Klee, a soft smile on your face, he had a mini heart attack.

Not because he was panicking or anything, but more because he wasn’t used to seeing you smile like this. It made his chest feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Later that day, Albedo made sure to comment on the event.

“Well, it appears you two were getting along fondly.”

“You were watching?!”

“Of course I was watching. How could I look away from that fond smile you had on your face?”

“Shut up!”

“It was very cute.”

“I SAID SHUT UP!”

Diluc and you first met months earlier. You were just another customer at first to him while he was simply a bartender.

Immediately though, he found you interesting.

While his other customers were loud and obnoxious, you would just sit at a table in the corner of Angels Share, minding your own business.

You would only ever speak to ask for another drink, which he would always provide.

“Another glass of apple cider, please.”

He doesn’t know what came over him when he decided he mentally decided to court you. He probably will never know the exact answer either.

It wasn’t the easiest either. Courting you was one of the most difficult things this man has ever done, and somehow he accomplished it in the end.

You were challenging with your distant personality, to say the least. It seemed to him that you wanted absolutely nothing to do with him, that you didn’t see him in the way he saw you.

So when you finally accepted him after weeks, the relief this man felt wash over him in an instant is indescribable.

Now present day, Diluc finds himself heading back to Angels Share in the middle of the night. The moon was directly above him as he silently walked through the city, the only other light source being lanturns.

Due to the drowsiness that he was currently feeling, he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him when he spotted you.

“What in the world are they doing out in the middle of the night?”

But what startled him more than the time on the clock was your facial expression. For the first time, Diluc saw you smile.

Diluc just stood frozen in time as you sat there, rubbing the belly of a stray dog, an empty bowl beside you. He could only assume you’ve been taking care of a stray.

“Who’s a good boy? It’s you, isn’t it!”

“(Y/N)?”

You instantly froze in place, your head creaking towards Diluc’s direction.

“D-Diluc.”

“What in the world are you doing up at this hour?”

“I-I could say the same for you! What are you doing up this late, huh?!”

You shot up from the ground, face beet red.

“I asked you first, love.”

“NOTHING. I WASN’T DOING ANYTHING!”

“That dog below you giving you puppy dog eyes says otherwise-“

“WHATS A DOG??”

Venti was simply just strumming away at his lyre, the sound alluring the Mondstadt citizens around him as he stood at the foot of the Barbatos statue in the plaza.

His eyes were shut as he too, was preoccupied with listening to the soothing sounds.

When his fingers came slowly to a halt, his aqua green eyes peeked open, the sound of the citizens around him clapping filling his ears.

A smile morphed onto his face.

But soon that smile increased in size. Beyond the crowd surrounding him, he spotted you. You weren't doing anything special, just standing there.

“(Y/N)!”

The bard could hardly control the excitement of you watching him doing what he adored.

Although your facial expression read that of a bored person, Venti didn't seem to mind at all at that moment. Instead, he craved your attention.

Soon enough, the bard stood in front of you, his grin somehow getting wider.

"(Y/N)! Did you enjoy the song?"

"It was nice."

Nice? Only nice? Your facial expression said otherwise. Was the song boring to listen to? Did he mess up a note? Maybe it just wasn't your type of song.

Venti's eyes narrowed in thought, his lips pursed and eyebrows furrowed. He wanted you to say something more than just nice, he wanted you to smile for once due to one of his songs.

That is how you found yourself in this situation. Daily, Venti would find you around Mondstadt, play a song for you, and then wait for your response. He wanted you to say something more than the song was nice without a single hint of emotion before leaving.

But each time, that was your answer and Venti was getting annoyed. Not at you of course, but that he lacked the power to make you smile. He’s the Anemo God, but he can't seem to make his s/o smile.

So the astonishment Venti felt when he glimpsed his eyes over towards you after he played yet another song and saw you smiling ever so slightly, he almost dropped his lyre.

"(Y-Y/N)...are you smiling...?"

"Wait what-"

"I saw it! I saw you smile!"

When I tell you Venti was all over the place, I mean it. He was like a bouncy ball with him bouncing in every direction. But he couldn't control it. The pure bliss he felt in that moment took over all his actions.

"I-I didn't do anything. My face twitched."

"You can't lie to me! I saw it with my own eyes!"

The relationship between Xingqiu and you happened almost instantly. The two of you went from total strangers to Xingqiu always dragging you on his little adventures.

It all started with just a single sentence;

"Oh, you like Legend of the Shattered Halberd as well?"

Let me tell you, the look on his face when you said that. He always dreamed of having another person he could converse with when it came to books. So, the moment you said that he wasn't about to let you walk away without learning your name and other books you have read.

A friendship sparked between the two of you. He was one of the only people who would constantly talk with you even if you acted distantly. Soon enough, the two of you became a couple.

He wasn't worried about grabbing you from your home and taking you outside on a little adventure after he just finished reading one of his adventure novels. And of course, he'd always have a book with him during this time. You found that cute about him, but you never showed it.

Whenever the two of you would chat about books, Xingqiu was always shocked whenever you told him you haven't read a certain book.

"You're telling me you've never read The Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies?!"

"Never."

That's when he shoved the first volume in your face, an immediate serious expression on his face. Blinking a few times, you accepted the book from him.

"Read it and then tell me how you feel about it. I can give you the other volumes if you enjoy it."

"Okay."

Xingqiu thought you seemed wary at first to read it. He knew you weren't as majorly obsessed with books as he was, so he internally was just preparing for you to end up not reading it.

He didn't mind it though, reading wasn't for everyone after all.

The following day though, he felt the sudden urge to stop by Wanwen Bookhouse. He just wanted to skim some of the books there, maybe purchase one or two.

But those plans immediately ended when he spotted you. You were leaning against the wooden red railings, the book he had let you borrowed flipped open in your hands. And you were a chunk through it already.

Xingqiu could've worn his eyes were bulging out of his eye sockets because the one other thing he saw was the tiny smile located on your face.

You didn't seem to notice Xingqiu before he was standing right in front of you, a huge grin on his face.

"You seem to be enjoying the book I lent you. Would you care for the remaining volumes?"

You almost dropped the book as a shriek left your mouth.

"Where did you come from?!"

"Well, I felt the urge to stop by the bookhouse and saw you. So, about those other volumes..."

There was a moment of silence between the two of you, your cheeks slightly reddish.
