• Rei has high expectations of you. Rei isn't the type to waste time on incompetent people, something about you had to have convinced her that you can keep up with her. You'll never truly be on her level, but you have a duty now to her, to do as she says and be useful to her.
• Rei isn't at all outwardly affectionate, but inside she feels a rare connection to you. As much as she shuts it down and denies her feelings, you always show up again. Her confident front doesn't let show the intense anxiety she feels, she is scared about being in love with you.
• You are more of a project to Rei than a lover. As such, she depises the idea any of your braindead friends could interfere. If she becomes your personal tutor, you won't be leaving until she's personally satisfied you've done enough work. Despite your friends begging you to skip just one session, you keep coming back. You don't want Rei to fail you, you've been held back enough. Rei knows about all of your vunerabilities, your fears about your friends graduating without you. All it takes is for her to score you just below a pass for you to break, and each time she does, she gets an excuse to lecture you. Win for Rei, anxiety for you.
• If you start dating officially, you become Rei's exeption to her coldness. You are the only one to see her emotions under her mask, and she holds that over you. If you dare say a word about how she cries most nights, or about the teddy bear collection, you are in for hell. Even if you are her most precious person, that doesn't mean she won't keep you in line, Rei won't tolerate rudeness, secrets, bratty behaviour. She has already spent far too much time on you, so behave. Rei will be affectionate on her own terms, and you will respect her space.
• Over time, Rei may become more controlling. As your relationships develop and you meet more people, Rei might become less trusting of you, especially if you've acted up before. Of course, if you've been perfectly good you'll be spoiled, but no amount of Rei worship is getting rid of the screen time limit on your phone. It's rotting your brain after all, didn't you spend all that time with her studying and promising to work harder? Exactly, now stop asking for five more minutes. If there's a new contact in your phone Rei doesn't recognise, the time limit will get shorter and shorter, you only need her after all.
• As you live together, Rei will take responsibility for your finances, house management, all the smart stuff your brain can't handle. Without Rei, how will you know when to pay your phone bill? You don't know how to change a smoke alarm, Rei always does it for you. You don't know how to file taxes, how much your rent actually costs. If you ask Rei how something works, she'll taunt you for your incompetence and do it herself. You begin to wonder how you ever managed without her, you'll know nothing without her. You're lucky she isn't tying your shoelaces. The more convinced you are of you stupidity, the more you depend on Rei. All that training from school building your confidence, used against you to make you perfectly dependant on Rei.
