Grand Council Treaty 3 has started off Pride month by announcing a new LGBTQ2S council for the territory and a commitment to include all community members in its governance.

“We’re finally bringing back the two-spirit voices into the conversations, into that table,” said Waawaate Fobister, who is Anishinaabe from Grassy Narrows First Nation, and was hired last month as the new council’s co-ordinator.

“Finally we’re getting our voices back into the community, in such an important way.”

Fobister will help to shape the council’s vision and mandate, as well as lead Pride initiatives.

Grand Council Treaty 3 is the national government of the Anishinaabe Nation in Treaty 3 territory, which is primarily in northwestern Ontario.

/s stands for /sarcasm and if u put it at the end of ur sentence that means ur being sarcastic

a lotta autistic people (and other neurodivergent ppl tbh) have trouble reading tones in peoples sentences so if you add /j or /s it doesnt like... distract from the sentence but it makes it clear that youre joking/being sarcastic, so people who wouldnt have necessarily read the correct tone will now know what tone its supposed to be conveying

I am celebrating a few things this month: Reaching 5,500 followers (Hi! Thank you!!), as well as upgrading the packaging of my Telluric Runes oracle deck, now encased in a colourful, custom-printed box with lid (along with a redesigned, more portable companion book)

While I’m at it, just a heads-up that I have begun creating the TELLURIC TAROT, in the same vein and theme as the Telluric Runes:

I use the physical properties and symbolic meaning of a mineral and plant to channel the message of each arcana. Design and release of the deck is still a couple of months ahead; I try to post a new arcana artwork here roughly every two days.

We are CLOSE to unlocking our Non-binary pride pets!  

This is the election that counts. Start educating yourself now on who will be campaigning to be your congresspeople/governor/etc. 

Register to vote NOW. Don’t wait. You can do it any time.

Get your birth certificates. There may be a fee or long wait times. Make sure you get a certified copy.

Make sure you have ID. Dig into your state’s laws and the whole Real ID thing, because (and sorry I can’t research this now, but pneumonia) I believe there are certain states whose driver’s licenses don’t qualify for Real ID.

Make sure you’re registered to vote. Google it. Follow the instructions for your state.

Know where your local polling place is or find out if you can vote by mail.

Vote in ALL your upcoming elections. Yes, that means the little ones for city council or dog catcher or whatever. Vote those racist, homophobic, bigots out at every level.

They’re like weeds. You can pull up every visible bit, but if you leave one tiny segment of root, they’ll just come back.
