hi, I hope it’s not weird asking this but I didn’t know some trans ppl didn’t have bodily dysphoria? I assumed being a trans female meat identifying with the characteristics of “femaleness” to whatever degree, is that an outdated conceptualization of it?
Simple answer is some do some don’t. Some trans people experience body dysphoria, which is when there is a disconnect between gender and outward secondary sex characteristics, but not all. Some only have what’s called Gender Euphoria, which can occur whenever the person feels that they are either being perceived appropriately to their gender by themselves or others and is marked by extreme positive emotions. Some trans people have both (like me). But those that only have one are equally trans. Does that make sense?
