For context, I’m currently in a youth production of Descendants as Doug. I’m a genderqueer lesbian (more androgynous leaning) who prefers to do male presenting roles for the sense of gender euphoria.

The person playing Evie is making it SO HARD to act (literally putting as much distance between us as possible). In the scenes where it works, it’s fine, but especially when she literally is like “wanna go to coronation with me” She literally is so weird about it. Like, the person playing Chad stands closer to me in scenes and Chad would literally beat the shit out of Doug. I don’t know if this is all in my head or not, but I just want to know what I can do without pointing it out (because in my eyes that would be giving other actors notes and I don’t like doing that). Is it the fact that I’m lesbian and she’s straight? Is it the fact that I’m born a girl playing a guy? Is it because she just doesn’t like me? I’m not good at people-ing so I don’t know. Any advice?

In all seriousness me and the queer/trans youth of America are terrified of what’s coming in the future. What we become as a society? We are called the land of the free, I should not have to be upset that I’m losing my rights.

This one has NEOPRONOUN REPRESENTATION!!!!! It was also in the Children’s section (not the YA section) which is cool as hell because there isn’t a lot, if any Neopronoun representation in media, especially children’s media. (If you didn’t see from me violently shaking the book, the character uses e/em/eir pronouns). I don’t typically read books like that but I might get it next time I go just to expand what I normally read. __________________________________

When I first picked up this book, I expected lesbians but NO, it's QPR REPRESENTATION!!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen any Queer Platonic Relationship representation EVER!!!!! I literally nearly shat myself because it’s DIFFERENT QUEER REPRESENTATION!!!! I also didn’t get this one but might keep it in mind for the next time I go to Barnes and Nobel.

Now, I’m not a Neopronoun user OR an Aromantic/AroAce person, but I still love that there are books with this stuff for the person that NEED to see themselves in media. I know I would have liked see more Lesbian media when I was growing up because that would have lead to a LOT less confusion in Middle School. REPRESENTATION MATTERS, PEOPLE!!! To see these people who literally have existed for a while FINALLY get the representation they need is just so damn refreshing. Obviously, discrimination in and out of the queer community towards these groups isn’t cured, but I still think this is a step in the right direction.

I tend to be a person who recognizes patterns and a pattern I’ve noticed in my life is that whenever things are going really well for me, something awful happens and it spirals me into a deep depression that takes a while to get out of. I don’t know if the feeling of something bad about to happen is because of my diagnosed GAD and Depression or if it’s something that everyone gets. I think I’m overthinking everything but I was thinking a bit too much about it in the shower and had a small breakdown over it. I just want to know if others get this or if I’m just going crazy at the ripe high school year of Sophomore year (literally starting the school year tomorrow 😭).

I’m not looking for mental health advice, I just want to know if other people get this so I know I’m not alone in this.

What if someone wrote a series of Wattpad one shots that were extremely descriptive up until the sex scene and it was like:

“(Character) and y/n have sex… What, did you expect a crazy, erotic sex scene? I aint writing that! Anyway, back to the story.”

And it was just a paragraph with the same descriptiveness as before explaining what happened a few minutes afterwards.

My own story:

Recently, I was on run crew for a show with a new theatre company in my area. Before going into the production, I knew that the director wasn’t the best director from people acting in the show that I’ve done shows with in the past. I tried to go in with an open mind but soon realized that my ASM was HIGHLY inexperienced and didn’t know what he was doing on top of some of the actors being really snobby and just not nice in general. We barely had any rehearsal time (3 days of rehearsals a week, only 3 hours of rehearsal) and I’m lowkey surprised that the show turned out how it did. Everyone was very talented but I still didn’t have as much fun as I have in other productions. I had people to hang out with and my family and friends were able to see the show, but U found that seeing people that I haven’t seen in a few months was my favorite part of this production, and not the actual experience of being in the show. Closing night was last night, we had a double show and strike right after, so I went home exhausted. The next morning the post show blues have not kicked in and they normally do at this point for me.

If anyone has a similar experience, I’d like to hear it to know if I’m not the only one that gets this.

If you guessed A, you are wrong. TV Girl fans specifically hate when their quirky misogynist’s music gets even remotely popular. You think that fans of an artist would be happy that their work is finally getting recognized, but I guess that people don’t. When “Taking What’s not Yours” got to the Top 5 TV Girl songs, I saw so many post like “Oh no, the normies found another song”.

This brings me to my challenge for all of you:

Let’s get TV Girl’s song “Loving Machine” to the Top 5 TV Girl songs. It will be hilarious.
