DIY lipstick/lipgloss
Hey guys, this is a “how to” I wanted to share. It’s super easy, makes a perfect gift for any woman (I made it for my mum) and works both as lipstick and lipgloss (depends on the ingredients; see below).
So first of all, I’ve decided to make a white makeup for our festival face-paint. So I did. Then I’ve got this great idea to make an actual lipgloss for my mum because she loves most of my DIY projects. Well then, why not make a surprise? .) For this lipstick you’ll need this:
- a small glass with a lid (I use mini-marmalade glasses) - coconut oil (enough to fill ¾ of the glass) - beeswax (just a fingertip, you really don’t need more than a small piece) - wax crayons (yes, they ARE safe to use)
Put the coconut oil into the glass, heat it in a water bath or you can use an extra pot to make the mixture directly on the stove. No matter which method you pick, the result will be the same, even if the stove method is quicker. Then add a small piece of beeswax and a whole wax crayon (pick the desired colour, but be careful with the light colours, you might need to use one and a half crayon, just like I did while making the white makeup). Stir the mixture until the beeswax and crayon in fully melted. After that, you are ready to put the glass (without the lid) somewhere cold and wait a few minutes until it’s warm. When it’s warm, close the glass, put it in the fridge and let stay overnight. And that’s it! ^ ^
Here are the results. The white one has one and a half crayon in it and the pink one has just one crayon. Have fun! .)

T-shirt yarn DIY
Hello there!
Having some “free time” (read: psychical deprivation because of the university and people) again. So I can finally post a long-awaited article about making my own T-shirt yarn. It took me about 1 hour each T-shirt, I have 3 of them and soon there’s gonna be more. So, for now, I have some pictures for you, but the descriptions of how to make the T-shirt yarn has to be in the video (not mine! but I find this video perfect for beginners) = ^ . ^ = Hope you enjoy!
1) So the first step was to find an old T-shirt that I really don’t want to wear anymore. I bought this T-shirt for a very low price since I had no old T-shirt in my closet.
2) After the first 3 cuts, I knew it’s gonna be fun. And it was! Here’s how it worked out. I really recommend watching the video, the lady describes everything just fine and all I had to do was to watch it once so I could learn how to cut which part and even was able to cut the long sleeves without watching anything.
3) Then the pointy parts. Let’s cut them off.
4) Now the main part - body. Let’s cut those strips diagonally to make the longest part of our T-yarn.
5) The sleeves are the same, so watch the video to see how to cut them .) Sorry for not providing my own stuff, only the pictures, but I really have to work and have no time to make a video or more complex description. Well, the picture below shows the most tricky part. You have to be really careful with cutting here.
6) After making all the separated yarns, you will want to connect them to create one long yarn.
7) And my most favourite part! The yarn itself. And yes, after the process it looks like a long noodle x)
8) So after all this hard work we’re just going to make a yarn ball ^ ^
