Atlys sat in her swivel chair at the navigation desk, her eyes on the touch screen as she followed their course, making sure things were on track. Her attention shifted, hearing someone behind her and she turned her chair quickly towards them, giving the man a wide smile as she recognized him. âOh Heyâ she greeted, âYou scared me a bitâ she admitted with a laugh, being alone in navigation sometimes made her a bit paranoid. âCan I he-â her sentence was cut off midway when loud alarms began to blare throughout the ship. Her eyes widened, panic immediately setting in. âWHATâS THAT?!â She asked over the sound of the alarm, clasping her hands over her ears.
He wasnât normally anywhere near navigation, but today had been different. There was something nearby that he had needed to grab, and popping in to check and make sure they were on course ( a nervous habit ) had seemed appropriate. Upon arrival, everything had been normal. Maybe the sapphire crewmate was a little nervous, too... but who could blame her? It took only a few moments for that to change. âThatâs the reactor,â he said, glancing up at the lights flashing near the ceiling. âAt least... I think it is. I donât think weâve ever had a real emergency before.â After a pause, he continued, âWhat are we supposed to do now?â
