Despite Dimitri's protests, she gently touched his cheek. Her thumb idly traced the gauze across his wrist as she leaned her head against him. It's only been less than a year since Ama's arrival in Hearthinia. There was a goblin attack on the town. Not much, but enough to scare him. She held him close.

"You're not going to lose me." she promised.

"I…" he trailed off and sighed, pressing back into her touch. "I.. I can't live with myself if you got hurt…"

"Dimitri Mellabamith.. you are not going to lose me. I still love you."

Back in the early days of Hearthinia.

Catna and Tasmus sitting in one of their son's gardens, enjoying another beautiful sunset... The flowers springing up around them, urged on by the very presence of Creation and Fertility.

I hadn't forgotten! I just got slammed with IRL real freaking hard. X_X Between getting sick and helping family that was sick and trying to do some file work and augh.. But I've still got a few of these prompts done during it all and I'm gonna finish this project. And since these are thematically reflective, I'll share them together. Day #07 and 08 - Day Dates and Night Dates (Ft. Valentino and Sylvana)

I was gonna do A Thing as a part two to the last post, but tumblr apparently didn't like that. So fuck it. Enjoy the background. I lost a whole saturday to working on this set piece and I'm very proud of it.

For context: it's the royal chambers of Castle Roselake. Maybe not *quite* to the specifications in my head, but as close as I could get on hero forge. That would be the Balludson Crest hanging above the bed, along with Aldrich Balludson's twin bastard swords hanging beside it. And Evangeline's vanity on the other side. The double doors also do *not* lead to a walk-in closet, but an entire balcony that I am glad I did not try to force in... yet.

Forge-uary Day #06 - First Date (Ft. Tri x Lydia)

It was surreal to be back in that hall… Watching them dance across the marbled floor. The hushed chatter as dozens of vampires go about, enjoying themselves.

Dimitri had grown up in this castle his entire life and nothing has changed at all. Yet it felt so foreign to be among the guests, hiding among the faceless crowd… Especially with.. her…

During his time living among the dragons, Dimitri held himself very carefully and cautious. Always afraid to say or do the wrong thing. A life of abuse had made him a man who always second-guessed his actions. But now… Now Lydia was surprised to find him quite in his element.

Dragons weren't particularly known for their dances. Even for a goddess like herself. They were much too large and needed too much space to move so elegantly. Yet Dimitri practically carried her across the floor, effortless and confident. The sway of their bodies smooth and controlled, yet totally relaxed. And all the while he gave her that same warm gentle smile. That smile that scratched the hording instinct in her, wanting to pull him in close and never let go…

"You're holding yourself quite well." Dimitri hummed.

"I feel ridiculous." she admitted with a small chuckle.

"You keep saying that but.. you're still beautiful as you always have been." he shrugged.

Forge-uary Day #02! Blushing/Crushes (ft. Dimitri x Scarlet)

Dimitri thought the job should be simple. Scarlet was only a little roughed up after her encounter with Jamison Trent. And then she asked him something that gave him pause.

"Why help me?"

"…Excuse me?"

"It's just… I did hurt you. And your team… That's why you left me chained up… Why help me now?"

"Well…" he thought for a moment of how best to answer. Mostly he was doing this because Team Monster asked him to, and their leader was on good terms with Elysia... But that felt a little too.. rude... So instead he smiled. "Part of the downside of being a doctor is a short-term memory loss. It's hard to hold grudges when you see someone in need…"

She smiled a little… And then he heard it. Her heart fluttering.

That infectious sort of fluttering that could only mean one thing. Scarlet seemed to then remember Dimitri's vampiric hearing and tried to play it off. She turned her head away, immediately all huffy and indignant. Muttering something about how silly that was of him.

Dimitri winced.. He hoped she wasn't developing a crush on him. A widower like him?? For someone as gorgeous as she was?? No.. No no.. No, surely, he must've misheard? Surely it was just a passing moment. A.. moment of comradery or… s-something….

Surely… it wouldn't turn into something… more…

Forge-uary Day 01! Love/Heart core!

For context:

Malan is a young woman from my story Whatever it Takes. She's from a futuristic cityscape and has been through hell in recent years. What's worse is she is both gifted and cursed with the super power to remember everything in perfect clarity. Memories of her tragic life losing her family to a war and struggling to fight in that war herself for over 10 years, often bounce about in her head, and it gets to be quite maddening at times. She's a kind woman who's heart bleeds strongly and is willing to sacrifice everything she is for those she cares about.

Sage is a hippie from Moonshiners, and the world of Hearthinia. He's the first of the green dragons, and the fifth child of Lydia, the goddess of dragons. He's a very laid back very kind and gentle soul, who has unfortunately also been plagued by the horrors of war between dragons and giants. Having worked recon for so long, there's a lot of things he wishes he could forget as well.

Knock back a few drinks and just have fun." Dimitri encouraged. "Heh.. I'll try..." the owlfolk nodded and looked out across the dance floor. "...think anyone's willing to dance?" "Couldn't hurt to ask I guess?" Malan shrugged and brushed back her green bangs. "Think I'm just gonna vibe with the old man here and enjoy the music. Sorry." "Hey!" Dimitri laughed. "I'm not that old! I'm only 300!"

But what a lot of people don't realize is that deep down, buried under her thick coat and tough exterior, she cherishes family, and personal meaningful relations above all else.
