Sniper and Spy Head Reference
Spy with a perspective camera:
Spy as an orthographic projection:
Wireframe without materials, then with a "lighting setup: check normal+y" matcap:
Sniper with perspective camera:
Sniper, orthographic projection:
Wireframe, then matcap:
This is what their faces look like when Sniper is lowered to have his eyes at levelled with Spy's eyes (in orthographic projection view):
It's surprisingly tricky to add a wireframe over the material texture of a model, so here is a screenshot of the node setup (in Blender's shader editor) that I followed from a tutorial in case others need it for the other mercs. I used hisanimation's TF2 Trifecta (Blender addon) models for this:
Thank you to @silentchanny for requesting this and suggesting to share this with other artists. Hope this is helpful!
Someone has a crushhh~! How embarrassing
Helmet Party meets Red Oktoberfest
I keep drawing the team fighting and/or bloody. Oh well
I love Medic and Engie as besties. Heavy and Soldier are great frenemies.
I've been ignoring Helmet Party for too long. Engie takes Solly to a ranch?
Super quick warmup doodles

Been practising my BG skills lately! process pics under the cut
Heavy and Medic fighting Cheavy! Context here
Click it to not make it blurry. Big boy picture
Requests? Since last post was about the burly beast cosmetic, it made me think how there is NO WAY ANYONE (esp. Heavy) could focus on the fight. Something like that haha
-🪱🐟
You are absolutely right! Heavy would have a tough time doing his job
Lucky for them, the enemy Spy is also too gay to do his job
Make sniper do a backflip please
he's dead now
to answer @sh0werless 's question....
he saw sniper beef it and went nah

This is what SFM was made for
This is the sort of thing I show people when they say I’m good at SFM. Or decent. Or anything other than terrible.

“There is no life in the water. There is no life inside the clouds. There is no life inside of me—and it’s a nice day to splash about in the shallows.” Local Files Club is proud to announce our second release: Salt Bloom, a sci-fi mini-epic from producer Justin Hellstrom, the creator of The Great Chameleon War and co-creator of The Goblet Wire. Salt Bloom follows a Soln SARC-17 exobiology survey robot exploring the endless, globe-spanning ocean of Salsuné 11b. Day by day, this SARC-17 unit navigates the waters while seeding myths, searching for salt-ridden omens, and stealing data from its overseer in orbit. “I am in a constant state of failure,” the SARC-17 admits, but its will extends far beyond circuits and programming. It will never stop searching. Searching for life. Searching for miracles. Searching for a hand to hold in an ocean where there are none.
Salt Bloom is presented in two parts and comes paired with the original soundtrack and a twelve-page, fully-illustrated guidebook to the SARC-17’s psyche. It comes out 6 February and is available for pre-order now on Bandcamp.
