Nevertheless, countless people, mostly Black women, have been making sure to credit me and let people know that the image belongs to me. I appreciate each and every one of you. And all of the news sources that I’ve seen have used my tweet in their articles, making sure my account was accurately sourced. Even with it being shared irresponsibly, the overall response has been extremely positive. One woman even asked that I make my photo available for purchase. So I did. I’m not working at the moment. I’m also trying to save up for a car. I live in Detroit and you really can’t do anything, including make it to work without reliable transportation, as the public transit here is a joke.
