I swear every time I read reviews for a book that contains sapphic romance but is not explicitly a sapphic romance novel, there's a group of people complaining that the relationship "felt forced" or "came out of nowhere". Then I read the book and there's a very clear buildup and palpable tension and when they get together it feels natural and satisfying. At first I thought maybe it was just because I had my lesbian goggles on, but after the 5th or 6th time this happened I'm fully of the belief that those people have blinders on instead.

It's not just books either, this happens all the time in fandom. The hoops that sapphic relationships have to jump through in order to be seen as plausible are so ridiculous. I know I'm not really saying anything new here, but I'm grumpy and felt like registering my protest.

I am so bitterly disappointed about the ticket buying experience for Star Wars Celebration 2027. I had talked myself into it, I don't do these sort of things for myself very often. But I've loved Star Wars since I was a child, and wanted to be there for the 50th anniversary.

I was on the website when tickets went on sale at 3pm eastern today. Right when they went on sale. I was placed in the queue and waited for 4 hours and 17 minutes. All the while the little message on the bottom of the page kept updating. 4-day passes gone. Saturday passes gone. Friday gone.

Then I find out from people who did get through that people were allowed to select up to 20 tickets per order. So of course now 4-day passes are on VividSeats for $1000 a pop.

It seems so silly to be so upset about this. But also, resellers suck and the companies that enable them suck too.

I just wanted to treat myself a little.
