I be showing these wholesome drawings of Burgundy and their partner like those parents who show the baby pictures of their kids to random strangers in public.

So bc I'm a cornball and I love drawing ship art, I thought it would be fun to show off one of my silly oc ships. Burgundy's lovely partner is named Ivory. They're a bean of upper class and old money who Burgundy fell for in high school. During the end of junior year leading into senior year, the two began dating and had a very wholesome prom moment before breaking up after graduation. However, their different goals for the future regarding education and job opportunities couldn't separate these two forever.

Later on in their lives, they met up again as established adults and, after a little bit of hesitance, picked up where they left off and got married and stuff. It was beautiful.

Together, the two have twins, Byzantium and Rust. They are both huge menaces who are currently in their terrible twos and making a huge stink. They both take after Burgundy in more ways than one, which makes sense as Burgundy was the one to carry them. But because of job safety, Ivory is the primary caretaker of the sproutlings while Burgundy goes out on their multiple month-long ship voyages. When they get back to their home planet, they spend as much time as physically possible with both their partner and sproutlings.

When the two are separated, they take every chance they can to call during fuel resupplying and shipment pickup/drop off. They are so madly in love with each other, it's sickening.

Okay that's enough Burgundy glazing onto my other ocs.

Magenta is only like a month or so years old and already got a partial design and personality rework lol.

Magenta: Remember, beans, part of the uniform is the SMILE!

Someone in a server I'm in recommended that Magenta's job be a planner of sorts. A party planner or some other kind of manager, I haven't really decided yet. However, they are good at playing the part of an outgoing MIRA employee who always dresses the part.

However, it is important to note they are still an imposter very capable of destruction. At their core, Magenta is a very optimistic bean who is generally very cheery and positive. However, when things get tough, their demeanor changes drastically to a much more reactive and violent type who is very willing to kill if people or things they care about are in danger. That usually being their friends, or viper clutches that get wrapped up in Ore+ shipments.

And because every imposter needs a "true" form, this is Magenta's. Very dinosaur and dragon built, but still relatively crewmate height. I think they gain a couple inches in height when transformed into their "hunting" form. Also, Vipers are the only species of "civilized beans" who have no interest in clothing outside of crewmate conformity, so that's why they're nakey.

Also, when they are high strung, it ends up being everyone's problem. And uh, that's their downfall.

Magenta: I'm serious bro if you keep pestering me I'm GOING to BITE you.

Y'know those people who keep bothering animals despite being warned multiple times to avoid it? Y'know those people who get injured as a result of that? That didn't happen to Chartreuse but that is how the corrosive killing started.

Also bonus post-everything Polus story but it's the hopeless-romantic Chartreuse and the evil obsessive, possessive, cannibalistic shapeshifter that they fall for on accident that they end up in a very horrifying situationship with.

The Zombie Song save me. Anyways. The shapeshifter is Salvia and their disguised form is Lavender.

Oh and here's what inspired the first image.

Ok, so you know how to do the basic bean shape, now what? Now you get to play dress-up! Remember, there is nothing wrong with looking up references and exploring different body shapes and textures and all that. My favorite way of diversifying my amongi is by putting the sketch in the "distort" transform on most drawing apps and pushing and pulling them to be just right.

And there's your bean- wait. They remind me of someone.

Ohhhh that's who. Anyways, a bean drawn so stiff can only emote a couple things. Let's get into the more niche stuff on how to draw beans.

People make hands way more complicated than they need to be. If you want to make something realistic, go draw every joint and muscle and all that. However, this is Among Us. The hands are built to be clear, readable, and big. Simple shapes carry these hands; you don't need to be fancy about it really.

As for expressions, they can be a bit harder to grasp. After all, it is just one eye. My tips are mostly just imagining drawing expressions for a more complicated character who's mouth is being covered by a scarf, bandana or other kind of mask. It at its core is a lot of just drawing two eyes separate and connecting them together similar to Sonic or Plankton, or even better, find goofy expressions from the Among Us show or any fan-series online (my personal favs being Rodamrix and Remnant woah really?? no wayyy). Every artist has their own unique way of drawing their faces, so don't be afraid to pull and modify to fit best with your own personal style.

And if you wanna do dynamic legs, just take one of the legs you drew before and bend them to whatever pose you are trying to copy or draw. This works for the body too, just bend them like you would a human spine until the emotion you want to show is conveyed. Once again, references are amazing and should be used. Joints are not mandatory. But if they trip you up, I can totally make another post discussing my way of "gesturing" the beans.

Combine all those things together and badabing badaboom you can make peak art like this in no time flat.

Is this just me plugging my OC story again? Maybe. But it doesn't matter, the principle is still the same. Draw those Deltarune beans twin, I believe in you ✨✨✨

Being the two youngest crewmates on the ship next to a buncha middle aged/senior citizens, it makes sense these two would bond and become fast friends.

Chartreuse and Jam: Cheers! [lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick] Brass: You two are so gross.

In crewmate culture, I think it is seen as childish and disrespectful to show you have a mouth under the visor. Sticking out your tongue, revealing teeth, or just opening your mouth a little too big that you can see it are all seen as uncivilized and unruly.

Ofc, certain classes take more issue to it than others, but in Char and Jam's case, they don't really care/they like to irritate the grumpy bums on the ship. Especially Brass and Platinum. At the end of the day, they are still late teens/early 20s they have the right to goof off and be unruly and gross sometimes.

Off that topic tho, yes I made a playlist for story inspo. Yes a ton of it is Vocaloid and EDM music. Yes, I projected that onto the characters and made four of them really big anime and vocaloid fans.

Burgundy loves the Teto equivalent of the Among Usverse. Canary likes all Vocaloid media regardless of who sings, and Lagoon is a Vocaloid covers enjoyer. they would absolutely slay at MikuEXPO.

Y'know, I don't know the name o' it, but it's a thing called "Vocaloid". I think. My sprouts listen 'ta it. Burgundy: Vocaloid <3

I do believe that auncles deserve to know ballege too. Paprika's had a lot of sprouts under their care in the past, and at least two of them have enjoyed anime and Vocaloid. They're one of those parents who likes to at least engage a little with the media their kids enjoy, so a couple songs made their way into their playlists.

So yes, ripe age of early 30's Burgundy discovered their love for Vocaloid. Should've seen this coming, they love anime.

Jam: You know that Vocaloid song you like? There's an art trend for it! Paprika: That's nice, Jammy, but ya shoundn't bring yer phone'n in the kitchen.

Jam likes to engage with art trends online, so they know Vocaloid music by proxy. They're one of those fans who goes "Oh, that's the TikTok song right?" and you see Canary in the family guy death pose in the background.

Tangerine - Doctor

A sweetie with lots of secrets

Task: Monitor Burgundy's (and the crew's) health

Fun Fact: They smell citrusy

Tangerine is the on-call doctor of the Sheild. They walk with a cane and have frequent headaches, but none of those will stop them from doing their job as a caretaker. They are good at being stern and professional, but behind closed doors, they are desperate for friendships and care for themselves. They are also a huge MIRA glazer, praising everything the company has done for both them and all their coworkers. They don't want to believe the company is "nice" for nefarious reasons. They just want to believe they are doing the right things letting MIRA have its way.

Fawn - (Astro)Biologist

Unsettling, silent, quick

Task: (Sort of) Study Ore+

Fun Fact: They breathe very loud

Fawn is... a character. They are unnerving, highly intelligent about their field of study, and tend to move in extreme ways. They are really good at contorting their body to weird, uncomfortable angles, and their hands can travel quiet far from their body. This is beneficial for working alone, but when you have coworkers who don't like being startled by their silent contortionist lab partner breathing down their neck, it poses issues. As a result, they were gifted a holiday headset to make noise wherever they go. Doesn't quiet the heavy breathing, however.

Orchid - Geologist/Botanist

Sarcastic, highly intelligent, pretty old

Fun Fact: They like plants over rocks

Orchid is the unamused and cynical head scientist of the Sheild. All scientific discoveries answer to them, and they have the final call on any experiments. They are a very hard-worker and a know-it-all with the degrees to prove it. Although they focus on geology, they have quite the green thumb. When they aren't cracking down on piles of paperwork or hounding their colleagues on doing things "properly", they are taking care of the few small succulents and flowers they have in their dorm.

Algae - Microbiologist

Partially blind scientist with a lot to prove

Task: Also also study Ore+

Fun Fact: The bush pet is Buddingson

Algae is another nervous crewmate on board the Sheild. After an accident that left them blind on the left side of their visor, they have been determined more than ever to be the best scientist they can be. Their constant need to prove themselves worthy of their position does cause issues, as they tend to overwork themselves and pick fights with people who question their work or compare them to other beans. This anger can lead to many issues physically for them, with also poses issues they try to hide. Thankfully, pets like Buddingson keep Algae calm and grounded despite everything.

Mira is an equal opportunity employer. As long as you are able to work and be quiet about possible mistreatment, they'll accommodate you.

Platinum - Armorer of the Sheild

A veteran that commands nothing

Task: Keep the crew safe

Fun Fact: Got blown up once

Platinum is a veteran and armorer who believes that their experience in combat puts them on a higher level of authority over other people. In some regard, this is true, as Platinum is the first line of defense against any invaders on the ship. However, their ego goes beyond their role and goes unchecked, often undermining the captain's orders and doing what they think is right (it's usually not). Their combative mindset makes cooperation extremely difficult, and they constantly refuse to budge once they make a decision.

Midnight - Janitor

Tired but determined, very tanky

Task: Clean

Fun Fact: Wants to lay down

Midnight (Full name: Midnight Blue) is a retired Special Forces officer who wants to relax but doesn't have the funds to do so. They pick up gigs as a "janitor", but in reality, they are doing special missions for the MIRA elite. Whether it's keeping supplies untampered with, documenting valuable crewmates over expendable ones, or making sure puppeteer transformations go smoothly, they are very seasoned in their line of work despite their fatigue and poor eyesight. But when they have the chance for something calmer, they're taking it.

Tuscany - Electrician

History-enjoyer, rock-enjoyer

Task: Attempt to fix things

Fun Fact: The dog is named Gopher

Tuscany is a clumsy, yet talented electrician who has worked on many ships and other MIRA machinery. However, this is their first time in space, and with their medical conditions, that poses a challenge. In a rare act of "care" from the cooperation, Tuscany was given a dogmate to help with their condition. With the additional help, Tuscany is able to do all their tasks with ease, along with having the equivalent of a "tracker device" for when things get dicey. When they aren't diligently working, Tuscany is looking at rocks or reading a history book. They know a lot of random facts about both.
