My Random Collection of Thoughts

I seem to always go through tumblr phases and to be honest I was very shocked with the length of my last stint. Life just seems to get in the way sometimes and things you find important one week do not even cross your mind the next. Adulting am I right? 

Christmas literally snuck up said a quick hello and was gone before we could blink this year. Christmas felt weird this year...is this what happens as you get older? We spent a lot of quality time with family this year though and that was great. As far as presents go I can never complain because I can never doubt that I am highly blessed. My husband and I made a pact that we were not going to get each other anything this year. Let me preface by saying we say this almost every year...it’s not a romantic thing but we honestly spoil each other all year long. But this year my husband had a surprise waiting around every dinner and family event. I am lucky to share my life with such a thoughtful man who looks to my happiness over his own. 

Having some time off from work has been much needed. I have been feeling the fire of passion of what I do slowly die out. I am hoping the new year vibes is exactly what I need to get some spark back in the office. I do not have to go back until Tuesday so I am soaking it up. 

My dogs are spoiled as ever and have really enjoyed me being home more lately. It’s really been great that my husband is working from home now and they get more attention through out the day. But I think they have had a great year for the books and we look forward to spoiling them a whole lot more in 2018. 

So I am not sure how long this tumblr phase is going to last. But I hope everyone has had a great holiday season and I hope everyone has a safe and blessed new year.
